  1. https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&rlz=1C1CHFX_en-gbGB488GB488&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=nothofagus+antarctica+autumn+ Not got any of my own pics to hand but still remember the specimen at my colleges arboretum. Suppose it depends on what is growing near them i.e. shaded out by other trees. I have found the last few years that the wind has removed alot of the autumn colour prematurely!!!
  2. If I was making a batch I would probably make a router jig. For just the odd one a carving bar wouldn't take long, just boring:sneaky2:
  3. Nothofagus antarctica nice wee leaves, good autumn colour.
  4. Fresh chillies Jon. don't swallow them just rub the insides and seeds all over your gums (all your teeth)for about as long as you would brush your teeth. Then drink some honey and lemon. The Incas used to swear by it. The dentists don't like you using clove oil.
  5. Wheres Bono? This is his kind of gig surely?
  6. I had this problem at the beginning with the 150 when using oregon oil. Went back to stihl oil and not had any problems since.
  7. just tickled my 36" ripping chain, as long as it is just a tickle I have been getting about 10 sharpenings out of a stone these days. I do what Rob has recommended regarding using old stones to repair wrecked chains. If you work them too hard they won't last long. But I would recommend the grinder for speed especially on longer chains. The cost of the stones for me is not prohibitive. make sure you wear gloves cos I get a terrible shock off of my grinder when I forget.
  8. Leaf blowers always handy to remove the loose stuff to see where the roots are. Done a couple with a pressure washer as well but was a bit messy.
  9. Chicken Tikka Karahi Patia Jon. You need accompaniments and starters too. Poppadoms and spiced onions Veg Pakora Chicken Poori Kashmiri Naan and a wee spoonful or two of Pilau Rice mmmmmmm
  10. Don't care for ant and dec but I do shop in morrisons. Couldn't even tell you the price of milk, it's like my cereal, bread and cold meat for my pieces, i'm going to buy them each week so I reach for them without batting an eyelid. Nobody is forcing them at gunpoint to supply the big supermarkets, it's regular money for them, if they want more they should work out some novel way of supplying the consumer with their product that gives them a better return, they are businesses after all, Farmers aint daft. Just a bit pissed off I missed the free milk on offer ootside my local morissons which was on the news.
  11. My Chaetophobia prevents me from that kind of thing Thanks Jon
  12. My Pyrophobia prevents me from that kind of thing Jon
  13. My Globophobia prevents me from that kind of thing Jon
  14. New one for me. I have noticed alot more vehicles with the warning sign for cyclists, is this a legal requirement now?
  15. That fat you cant even see his nuts!
  16. I don't use composites when using saws. I have a pair that are basically cold store toe capped boots and are great when working on the grounds during the colder months.
  17. Pressure washer removing all organic material, then repoint if necessary. You could apply Algon by watering can as well. Weedkillers are not going to solve your problem IME.
  18. Perfectly entitled to your view mate. It's a bit like litter to me though. I do my best to keep my grounds litter free. But every other day I get a new batch of the stuff appearing. Now I USED to go off my nut at this ( in the same way as you seem to be about world politics) especially after just doing a litter pick and filling a few bags. But one day it just struck me of the futility of being annoyed and being able to prevent it, you just can't. I think of my tiny patch and then try and compare it to the rubbish piles in Africa/India/China etc. The mind boggles. Now what i do is just whack the tunes on and go for a leisurely stroll with my picker and a few bags with not a care in the world and it feels good. So don't get uptight about stuff you really can't do anything about. There's no point in blaming peoples as the world really is in such a mess. None of us can comprehend the scale of all the problems in the world. And no one will ever be able to fix them. As for sources of information, facts etc. Who do we trust? These holy books that get so many people in trouble over the last few thousand years have been referenced as the truth by so many and look where that's got us. love the people you want to love, try to be as good a person as you think you should be and crack on with living. Watched that dan cruickshank programme the other night with those vandals destroying all the ancient monuments, was really enraged but then I thought they could be doing that on the moon as it is so far removed from my daily life. Somebody will eventually rub them out and hopefully they can put it on youtube. Works too busy at the moment for me to get involved solving the worlds problems.
  19. Ordered replacement blades/bolts for my eliet shredder and service was on a par with the rest of the sponsors I have used on here which is very good indeed.
  20. Still on a Cert Arb holiday mate, it's never a problem with the badgering. Works way too busy, if we had a month of rain i'm sure I would be able to get a few more lessons under my belt.
  21. Who would say such a thing Dan !!!
  22. Big J on here might be able to sort you out.
