  1. Would you not want to be able to rescue the climber working for you if he had an accident?
  2. Out of interest, has anyone ever known or heard of a climbers line snapping or a harness falling apart whilst in use??
  3. That is special!!
  4. My experience of using these machines is completley different. I have owned both of these machines and would say that the schliesing is far superior and will chip more twisty thorn type branches at ease compared to the timberwolf. If you were to be chipping straight poles then yes the timberwolf may be better on such an occasion.
  5. Bark looks like goat willow but leaves do not, not at all.
  6. Too expensive

Yeah, and if you are just starting out, trying to be competitively priced against established firms running 3.5t and you have 7.5t or bigger with those sort of running costs, well i think you would do well to last more than a few months. Just my view.
  8. Thats a great idea Or get some 3 strand like we used to use, very cheap.

And they get every Tom, Dick and Harry to price it, so its quite cut throat.
  10. We had em plot up next to our cricket ground which is already a target of crime and theft and so feared the worst. But infact the opposite occurred, we have had no break ins at all. I guess its a case of not shitting on yer own doorstep, at least only literally. 10 folk on the same site, thats alot of dumps that have to go somewhere!!
  11. Thats ok if you have the gear and 'know how' to do it. Respect to people who do.
  12. Ideal:thumbup: I find split beech seasons very quickly.
  13. A fifth or quarter length roof may serve you well. You could still lift logs on. Make it with hinges or similar so you can open the whole roof if you are soley hauling logs.

Nice and honest There is never a perfect time to leave, but now sounds as good as any for you. Once the baby has arrived of course. Good luck
  15. Why is it too dangerous for you now Capetown?
  16. Have you spoken to Overland?
  17. Love that machine, keep the pics coming:thumbup::thumbup:
  18. I did not attend this year Ted, but great to see you looking good, well and healthy:thumbup: I hope business is going well and very much hope to see you in 2 years.
