  1. I do hope you have spent 4 years training to do that.
  2. I'm always good for a laugh. Although it did take me a bit to get it.
  3. Yes it was but I wasn't going to rise to the bait. I need to climb the PILE first.
  4. Say what now????? Oh another porn spammer. Why oh why do they try this stuff. Not the vid but the French post. Oh the vid is priceless.
  5. Read all the posts on this. So he got caught because he didn't have a harness, trousers, hat and wasn't tied into tree with rope or flip line. So if he had harness and lines and all the blokes had trousers and lids on, would the neighbour have even looked twice. I would have thought not. But. They would still not have been trained to do the job. Only because the so called assessor caught them on camera did they get caught. How many people are there with harnesses doing this work without tickets. Harness or not he still didn't have tickets so if he had caused injury to himself or someone else he would have still been in trouble......
  6. Lidl seem to get some good bits in now and again. The radio ear defenders are good. Tools like the sharpener, they did get some good loppers in once got a few pairs an dthey are still going strong. Might have to go and get me one today. Do they only come with one disc or can you buy the discs again? Anyone looked to see if other discs will fit on the sharpener?
  7. I tried the footlock method. I got the hang of it after a few attempts and used it ok on the first climb I done. But. This was away from the tree main trunk, on the second climb I was against the trunk work so trying to footlock while banging against tree was hard so turned to use my feet against tree and this was when I had the "problem" after. I've not got a lot of climbers near me that I can go and see what gear and how it's all used also the different techniques everyone uses so I'm having to look at videos or like at jonsies show look at what they have set up there, but there is a big difference in looking at a system and someone showing how it's used. Guess I need to get on a course soon and go through it all. Oh and it's the climbing up that done it as on the second go I didn't get into a canopy as it was getting late and I was dog tired. Plus it took me ages to get the throw line up and in where I wanted it.
  8. I'm going to order a pantin this week. Got a footloop I can try. Just annoying as I've just started red climbing and it really has put my mind set back. I really enjoyed the climbs aswell. Friction is at a min so there's not much else I could do to eliminate that. Oh well. Got to stay off climbing for a few weeks just in case but it has cleared up so I'm able to work again. Not that it stopped me this week. As they say don't work don't earn.
  9. Ok so after being out for a few climbs I was in agony on Monday. Been to doctors and it turns out I have got hemaroids from straining when climbing. So my question is what would be the best technique to continue climbing without this happening? I'm using the system that was at the show with the micro pulley to advance the prussik. Way others are there that could "assist" me, or is it because I'm new to the climbing and its a bit of a shock to my body?
  10. Do stihl even make a 5200 saw?
  11. Could you not stay full time in current job and start milling at weekends, holidays?
  12. I've seen a few were they had them topped and trimmed at the sides but never touched them again. They fanned out across a very nice lawn.
  13. Just a thought. How many connie trees or hedges have we done that have got out of control and we as arbs have complained obout having to cut them back to a managable state????
  14. How far away are they? They have to be close to dish to effect it really. Or sky could just move the dish but then the installers are lazy.
  15. But don't forget it's now immoral for businesses to expet cash as payment..........
  16. Yeah it up by the girls grammar school. But to be fair there not really in the road as on the kerb.
  17. Get yourself a disco commercial. Landy all the way baby. Pull push, dig, drag, and pretty much push anything that gets in the way. Thought I would put the silly suggestions out there as its a bit of a no brainier really.
  18. Good photoshop, if it wasn't for the waves in the road it would almost be plausible.
  19. What's wrong with some sort of tipper crew cab vehicle. Why the 4x4 option. Get a cew cab so fit people in ok, with a tool box behind and a tipper body?
  20. Yeah I know the farmer in Kent, it's was a big farm and one of there tracked machines. That's what you get when you don't clean them out after sitting in a barn all winter. They are the farm that goe all night and work in shifts to get the job done.
  21. Any firearm sort of shop is good. I've got a shop down the road called hobbies. He got everything in there. I went out for first time with throw line other day. Should be an Olympic event.

    Man vs food

That is actually a big mistake. When you don't eat your stomach will shrink so you will struggle more to eat it. Have a good lunch but healthy, a big salad that will fill stomach but digest before you go for challenge. Trust me I've done a few eating challenges in the past, also have a morning dump before work aswell.

    Milk it

But now they have the stewardship scheme that means they have to leave a barrier a certain meteridge away from the centre of a hedge to allow wildlife and the like to grow. Also new laws on set aside. But of course this scheme is also gov funded from tax payers.
