  1. Change the dynamo to alt. Dynamo needs a long run to put into bat. From memory you join the two wires from dynamo with meter and check the voltage then. It won't be a lot. How long is the engine running for?
  2. Female. As if you are not carefull they will turn and bite you on the behind.
  3. Looks like the way people park outside my house. Well it was until I closed up the gaps one night with the nudge bars.
  4. I have to agree with the news thing. Just get it over with already. And IMO a waste of time. Ok so it's tradition if you like to do these games but in this economy is it really worth it. Billions spent on a huge stadium that will get used for the games and then used for football or some other sport once in a blue moon. Bit like the millennium dome........ Suppose to be good for the economy, I really can't see it somehow, plus we can't even provide the security for it all.
  5. I know, it's just easier for me to take it off, drop the flip line and carry on with my climb. It's only rec climbing so I don't really need the line. Only for resting or as a bit of support when changing over.
  6. Yeah will have to get one. The only reason I use prussik is so I can take it off the flip line and use it elsewhere. Either for a changeover or just so I've got it if I need it.
  7. Yeah that's what I'm finding. It just always seems to be the. Place I want to use it that lets it slip... Typical
  8. Anyone prep there flip lines? Reason I ask if I've got a nice new shiny one, problem I'm having is my Pruss loop knot is slipping one the new line? Is there anything I need to do to sort of rough it up a bit to stop it happening? It's a bit unsafe and it makes me nervous to use it, I'm only rec climbing with my gear so I use the flip line to have a rest in the tree or when changing my lines as a bit of extra security. Or am I using it wrong?
  9. I don't know much about electric saws. I think by the time you have loaded up the gen and gone getting firewood you will loose out on space with the gen taking up the room. Plus would a gen be powerfull enough to run an electric saw? I got a gardentec saw from nettos when it used to be open, cost me 50 quid and so far all that has gone wrong is I lost a rubber vibration part, soon replaced with an old one from a stihl saw, fitted perfectly, got an 18inch bar with it and it's 52cc engine can cope with most timber very well. The chain brake handle is a bit touchy and only needs tapping to come on. For your use I wouldn't bother with a stihl or husky, sounds like you wouldn't use it enough to warrant spending the money for one.
  10. Is the green one the one I got at the show?
  11. I can see the combines in the yards itching to get out and started. Can't wait to get out and start bunny bashing again.
  12. It was. I kept going over the top. The axe did dig in the ground about 10 yards the other side. Never mind. Good day. Well done jonsie. Enjoyable day and quite informative for me, now I'm off to climb some random trees, the weather is good and I'm working all next week so won't get a chance.
  13. Ok, can't look at the rules, using my iPad on the 3G card and mobile parental control won't let me view them. There must be some usual arbtalk dodgy pictures on there.
  14. May I suggest laying down the rules on hard copy. Type of axe, weight of axe, distance to target, target size, measurements on target (distance rings have to be set apart), scoring, and how the axe is allowed to be thrown. If people are wanting to practice it's no good throwing at a bigger target close when the comp is smaller target further away?
  15. I thought the target was a little close for my liking. Kept going over the top.
  16. The best bit for me was watching the ice cream van get stuck twice in the same spot. He got towed out by a landy once then after being told not to go back in that area he done it not ten mins later. One of your guys went over to help out, don't think the driver spoke English.
  17. Not sure about a legue as some people can't make some shows.
  18. I thought hose smart cars goe with hamsters in the wheels. Jeeze you mean there's an engine in it somewhere.
  19. Sorry they are all for my personal collection. Will try and get some more decent pics for the site.
  20. There's something in that photo. They must not have drugged up as it still full of liquid. And what looks like blood. It is however just wrong and disgusting. No thought into who else is about. Would dread to think if a kiddie had seen it and pulled it out.
  21. I got a stihl cap, and a headband thingy.
  22. You don't know what he's been up to to get sent there in the first place.
  23. Some marlow 13mm rope, a few m of friction line, a petzl sequoia harness, and a few small goodies. Was looking at the setup In Justin's tent so copied that when I got home. The harness was one of only three that they had there in a size two, bit disappointed in that as I was looking at another harness but they only had size one. But I tried it when I got home and it sits comfy. Also got an order to put on the web next week from jones. I must also say the goodie bag was a surprise aswell. Think the baseball cap is now my favourite. And the sweets went down well after a coffee.
  24. Did you have a pop up asking to remember you for this site? If you did you may have not clicked yes so it logs you out when you close the browser
