  1. Ha try and stop me. If it does get rained off I guess I will be the nutter standing in empty field looking for the ax throwing. Today is dragging and all that is on my mind is Saturday. Looking at forecast it is looking ok for weekend, must be the northern monkeys that don't like getting wet.
  2. Yeah nice one predator. It WILL only get better mate. Nice to know you are sorting things out and using what help you can find. It takes time and maybe you will never be back to full scale you but you can at least try and get somewhere near to it. Breaking down and nightmares are all part of it, the mind has an annoying way of releasing all it holds while in sleep and dreams or nightmares reflect what is oing on deep in the pshycie. I know I've been there with nightmares in my past, not really in your situation but I did have to sleep on my own many nights as I woke one night throttling my other half. This scared the crap out of me and I soon needed to get myself sorted. Seek help wherever you can find it and no matter how stupid it could sound it can help with even the small things. Are you seeing a doc yet? If so how is that going?
  3. Well I've nearly finished the first book. Looking forward to reading the second. It's taken over a bit and I've not been on here as much as I usually am.....
  4. Wet ground = no skid marks. A car will lock brake no matter what speed if you push hard enough. My guess, they worked and locked up as they would do but due to wet you didn't notice them lock as you could here or feel it. Once a car has started to skid the brakes must be released and repressed to stop a skid, but in practice it happens too fast to remember to do this. Unlucky on truck, get a mallet on it and start pounding the dents back out.
  5. What's that got to do with it? He didn't collect in person he sorted a courier, he did pay by PayPal, he did pay quick, even by a good buyer payment can be slow. He has arranged courier so there is your proof that the item has (or not in this case!) been collected and sent as courier will give you docs that say they have collected. So you would be happy if he came all the way over here to collect in person and spend a fortune on travel then drive the car back? Does this make sense to anyone else because in my world it doesn't and is cheaper to get a company to do it. You really should have clearly specified in you description NO OVERSEAS BUYERS PLEASE. It's simple and eliminates a lot. I'm out on this one I know what it feels like to get messed around by an international buyer and I will always put no international on any listing I do now unless it is a small item. I'm sticking with saying ou have been hasty with this buyer and not given him much of a chance to deal with anything.
  6. Agreed. You are both in a contract with eBay to sell or buy the item. Collection in person is a small matter that eBay will not be interested in, he has arranged a courier, and paid for one to collect the time from you. If eBay see that you are in the wrong they will suspend your account and it won't be easy to set up a new one. Seems this could come back to bite you hard. I think you may have jumped the gun quickly, he paid you in a way that is suitable through PayPal, you not liking this is irrelivent as its a form of payment widely used not only on eBay but plenty of other places. IMO you are in the wrong this time and if I was the buyer I would be doing exactly the same thing, as I have had to do in the past when buying. Oh did anyone actually know there is a way to get the sellers or buyers personal info, like address real name and telephone number, on eBay. It is legal and you can get it.
  7. Don't even start about wheels getting jammed, had quite a few go through when I done it, always carried a long pry bar, but that never used to work and end having to gas cut them out. Used to cut set aside before and once it was as high as the cab, using a 8100 John Deere. I heard a huge bang from the flail, looked back and it was spewing bits of alloy and tube out. Stopped looked at the bits and it was a stolen motorbike, just mashed it to pieces, no damage done to flail or tractor. I had a good laugh phoned the boss and the police came to look at what was left and we bagged it up and sent it off. Don't think the owner wanted his bike back....... Oh I asked about the gearbox as I had one burn out on me, got red hot and glowing, they changed it for a bigger box. Never had a problem after, it then it used to get worked hard.
  8. Good one Felix. Made me chuckle. Worcs you must just have a really crap imagination.....
  9. I'm a bit bewildered on this. So he is from Malta! So what! It's eBay? How many items have you brought from other countries on eBay before? It's a global market and has opened opertunities that wasn't available before. He has paid you and you have the money. He has arranged shipping and collection. All you have to do is make sure you are there to hand it over. He has added the extra for fees so you are covered on that front. More than most would do. Sorry to say it but if you didn't want to pay PayPal for using there service that IMO is the best out there then don't sell on eBay or use PayPal. What so you want to sell stuff for free and not pay for it? Sorry if that bit sounds blunt but it sounds like you are having a go at PayPal because you are having to pay for using a service that allows people to sell to international buyers with very little trouble, and in a safe manner.....
  10. I've got one regret about this show and that's that I'm not camping and it's too late to organise anything now. Next time I'm going all out on it. Providing that I can try and get some work out the way next week as the weather down my way is looking awfull.
  11. Erm. I take it no relation to a tony then?
  12. Yeah somehow it's always a case of never see a poor farmer only pore farm workers. This has been proven to me quite a few times in the past and it has always been true. Farmers will plead poverty but never have an old knackerd landy when going to shows......
  13. I must say I'm about half way through and I can't leave it alone....... Don't know why or how but the book has captivated me.
  14. Get the crank re-ground and oversize bearings for it. Would be a shame to strip it this far and not just get it fixed?
  15. Forget pimp my harness I'm sending the chipper off to pimp my ride, get some big ol fat rims and airbag suspension on that mother. Just have to do it when boss not looking. Maybe a big fat exhaust to make it sound good..........
  16. I'm about 100 pages into it now, read since about 8 this eve. And I can see why you post would be so.... If anyone likes a good read I would suggest reading it, but if you like pictures I wouldn't bother
  17. Call me what you will but I've just got the first book. Didn't know there was three...... Going to start reading it tonight.
  18. Yeah that's the one. Couldn't remember how it was spelt. And with all the bad jokes we made at work about it that's how I remember it.
  19. Something along the lines of, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Suppose we have to find something for scientist to do. They seem to have done everything else. But then they could try and understand what's beneath our seas, seeing as we don't really know much about what lives down there.
  20. Put a hedge cutter head on a pole punning saw before. Had to cut a huge connive hedge and it saved getting the steps, platform out.
  21. I would agree with being on police, highways list, but not advertise it to private. If they have a tree go down its usually not there tree or there ins company deal with it.
  22. It always amazed me when I used to use the flails how tidy they make a job. By the looks of it it looks like a coon flail? If it is have you had and gearbox problems with it?
  23. In a way you are helping the business by using the vans as the outgoings go up so less tax to pay.
