  1. Wheres that thread on health and safety???
  2. I'm sure there are a few out there. Could line them up and see how far the ullets travel along the line.
  3. Ok. I've heard about it being done but never seen it.
  4. Sorry to be a pain but how do you use starter cord as piston stop?
  5. Just out of curiosity and to eliminate human error, have you double checked that everything you took apart or off the saw has been put back on, like the usual tests of getting spark and fuel. Just going through the obvious things first, not saying anyone is thick or you are incompatant in any way shape or form.

    Fuel Mix

Stihl dealer not hearing of aspen!?!?? Shouldn't matter who you take it to for retune. If the stihl dealer refuses to adjust carb find someone that will. Once you buy a saw its up to you what you use fuel wise.
  7. I can't see how people don't put them on properly. First of you have to push two separate buttons the second you have to hold in for five seconds until it beeps, then it's full revs and knuckle back to release then knuckle forward to attach. Well it is on jcb anyway.
  8. Nope all fixed. Normal forum surfing resumend.
  9. Your the one bringing the beach volley ball back to the forum mate:biggrin:
  10. I'm trying to see how many times I get it to pop up. So far I got four times when trying to view a thread.
  11. If its on your own private land then no you don't.
  12. The ads on the right of the posts are showing on the iPad. But nothing else is.
  13. Mine started this morn. I was on late last night after 12 but was doing it about and hour ago.
  14. Ok hopefully get sorted soon then. STEVE. Help.
  15. Every time I press today's posts or go onto a thread it asks me for authentication for arb chat. Typed in my password etc but it still keeps asking me. Getting annoyed with it now. Is it something on here or is it something to do with my iPad????
  16. Found this and thought it could be usefull to you! TREE DOCTOR PARKING arborist prune new sign | eBay
  17. Bring on the cold. Could quite happily put up with arctic conditions, hate the hot weather.
  18. Still applies. I've got a filing cabinet full of inspections both daily and weekly ones. Have to keep them for three years before they can go in the bin. Not sure if it's just the owners that have to keep them but I do just to cover my own back. Although I have not seen a blue book but I fill in my own. Plus it all goes towards keeping my ticket as its a progressive one.
  19. My bucket broke off after I was digging out an old gun implacement, it had sheard the quick hitch pin but I didn't notice until I went to change the bucket to the grading bucket to fin the job. Just as I started to roll the arm it fell about 10 feet upside down and dug into soft soil. The point about his bucket falling off I tried to avoid as you didn't specify if it broke or naglagance on his part.
  20. Seriously. All my training is telling me this guy should be off site. If that bucket was not properly secured on the machine in the first place his training is off. No worker should be under a machine that is working. As with the arb work an exclusion zone should always be present. There should be one depending on machine size so that anyone is clear if the machine should fail. The only exception to this rule is when doing deep excavation work in which only one worker is allowed in the hole and one spotter is above ground in clear view of digger operating and in constant contact with the worker in hole. Escape equipment should always be present incase of cave in or collapse of hole. I've had a bucket come off on me before and I really wouldn't want to be under it. A bit like saying my chain came off today because I didn't tension it.
  21. It's a sad loss when this happens to young drivers. It says at the bottom a 40 odd year old was arrested? There was another on the radio with two small children dying. Feel sorry for the drivers, don't think I could live with that on my conscious.
