  1. Must be a day for weddings then.
  2. That wouldn't be the Webster wedding would it? Oh and jammy that film should be done for false advertising.
  3. Trying to get rid of a damn headache I've had all day and trying to stop my head exploding with it. In a real grumpy mood so the missis has gone out to see some friends and left me alone watching mrs browns boys.
  4. Ok no problem. I know asking for markings is a big issue as you never know who is watching but it's alway nice to know there are some or not. Do you remember what hedge cutters they were?
  5. Seems to be the south is getting hit good and hard at the moment. Will keep some eyes open. Is there any I.d markings on the gear? Other than just being stihl?
  6. LED Lenser P7 Flashlight Cree Focus Torch 200 Lumens CREE Outdoors 8407 Torch | eBay Never had to buy another torch had this one a year. Damn these things are bright. I've used mine on the boat working and mounted on the gun for shooting. Easily reaches 50 yards. Worth the money IMO.
  7. Trick is to make it look as difficult as possible and seem like they will spend more time getting. Laziness will put them off. If something looks hard to break into they won't bother.
  8. No but I would still take the details of there ins. Might make them think a bit more when trampling around flower beds. Flowers are one thing but if they break a machine and don't say anything that's a lot of money and don't forget the time, if it's not noticed until you get on a site... But then they are subbies so there is no obligation to use them again and it's there loss if they don't get the work from you.
  9. That's hard. If they are self employed ask them for there ins details for liability if they have any so if any damage was done you cold state that you would look for ins claim. Should focus them up a bit. It's ok it being plants but what if they break a machine and say nothing. You wouldn't know until you went to use it next. Carelessness costs money. Sort a contract out that if damage is done they get some of the bill. IMO I see nothing wrong with stating this.
  10. Holding waste engine oils. Or waste hydraulic oils. Good to keep and use as anti rust protection. Or smother a lockbox in so any thief gets a hand full of oil. Holding red diesel. Using as catch trays, use a couple for early planting, we use one with side just cut off and put under the chipper to catch anything falling through the drain hole in chipper flywheel, makes less mess on a nice driveway.
  11. A nice big post hole borer. Lovely on nice ground but hit a tee root and hang on for dear life. Good for a laugh. I've done my first fencing job with. Spade, hammer, nail puller, spirit level (got a pack of three sizes with carry bag and free tape measure), string line, didn't get a nail gun straight away. Wait to see how it goes and if it's good then get one. Shovel for mixing concrete and some ply to mix on. Wheel barrow. And a post spirit level. Oh and an old axe and mattock.
  12. Not sure. I had a kid on a bike ask for scrap before on a building job. All we had was a cooker and he was willing to take it until we pointed out his error. Better double lock tonight.
  13. I'm building a new pond in the garden and the missis is obsessed by bears and she would like some possible prices for a bear cub carving of the cub dipping its paw into the pond like its fishing. The pond is 9ft by 5ft and 4 ft deep just so anyone can work out a possible size of the cub. So I don't need a huge one. Anyone interested could you please pm me or reply on here. Thanks rich.
  14. Hello pEte I have saved your number on my phone and I'm always looking to fill my diary with work. Thanks rich

  15. If there is anything left of the log when he does get home....
  16. Bew I should have checked I had the spare on
  17. Think the shirt meant something else.....
  18. Ok so I've got size 13 feet and I have tried some boots before but none that don't make my feet hurt like hell after a days work. What's the best pair that don't need a remortgage to pay for them?
  19. Yeah about him being first on the? Who was holding the camera? Still good man but he only walked on the moon, i would rather praise the people who got him there in the first place.
  20. Not been out to get one yet. I was looking into one for engine inspection, be a bit quicker to check bores than taking the heads off on 4 strokes. Going on Tuesday to get one.
  21. I normaly refuse to shop with the missis. It's just too dangerous. But then I end up buying useless rubbish that I use once and it sits in the cupboard.
  22. I love the noise of the chipper. I cant wait to start the beast up on a job and try to do it as early as possible. You could put as many leaflets as you want on cars chances are they won't pay any attention to them. Or as its housing association places they probably not ins or taxed anyway.

    Aldi again

So the saw was a bit of a no goer I'm definatly getting one of these. ALDI - Sunday Special Buys 26th August 2012
  24. Ok. So after driving around today towing a trailer doing grass cuts the light hasn't come on and it all seems fine. Must have not been used before and I gave it a scare using it. Thanks for all the help and advice again.
  25. Thought about the electric issue but I could feel the diff engage when I was driving. Had a look at he linkage today and nothing was wobbling about. Drove it today fine, so I'm guessing that the prev owner didn't use the diff or low range and I have started using it lately getting in and out of fields and up grass banks. So I'm guessing I have freed it up a bit. Thats what I'm hoping anyway as I really don't want to drop the box off it to remove the lock so it's safe to drive. Oh an da huge thanks to worcswuss for the info.
