  1. Well there you go then hog roast it is. Kids should be ok near it shouldn't they? If they know the bonfire area is dangerous anyway. All you need is some metal poles to hold the pig up or cut it up and use foil and place in hot stones and allow to cook, throw in some Bradley apples with it. Done this a short while ago when camping for the weekend with the family. Only problem was no one wanted to get up and go home after as we all had full bellies.
  2. Spit roast a pig, nice and easy start cooking it the saturday morn it will be done Sunday lunch. If where you are camping will allow it. Nice open pit, the smells will have everyone wanting it.
  3. Are you sure it's not 10m2 per £1???? Or something like that. Put a £1 worth of fuel in and see if you can do 100m2!
  4. But are they closing properly, have you checked the clearence on them? Sorry I had a brain freeze moment, was thinking motorbike engines as I was on eBay. Yeah four mix km100 long reach engine. If the valves are losing all the way then it must be piston. Have you had a tester for comp on it?
  5. sorry I'm lost abit. Km 100 what? Four stroke I take it. If no comp try stuck valve
  6. Had a four pot suzuki motorbike engine on the bench today. Can't remember what bike it was off but the exhaust manifolds wouldn't budge so had to cut and remove the studs. Not a job I want to do any time soon. Cleand the starter up aswell as it wasn't working. Mate said he was thinking about giving up on the bike so I might take it on. He got it from a clearence, it was stuck in a hedge at the bottom of the garden. Just need to source a new exhaust or I might make a custom one to fit it. Will try and take camera out tomorrow and get some picks.
  7. That is f ing awesome. I want it.
  8. I have a phobia of this happening and always check it.
  9. That's what I thought, better be sure than to ask if it comes with the left handed axe or wedge first
  10. Think I'm about to learn something new, never knew you could get left handed saws? And is there a difference?
  11. I've got two heads in bits in a box. Both the same reason, oiler knackerd. It was easier to buy a new head than replace the oilers. Plus I'm waiting for a saw to go with the same oiler. I don't like the oilers on these heads, it's a crap design of oiler IMO.
  12. Got hands a feet havnt you???? Oh and teeth.

    closeee

At least he not got a chainsaw in his hands, wouldn't want a six grand fine........
  14. Used by the fire service for lifting vehicles off people. Good idea using for logging tho. Could use a built in compressor on a landy or even a mog. Then the compressor on the landy could be used for much more.
  15. Depends if he put himself as livestock farming or arable farming. Not sure tree surgery can be classed as forestry. Although I did see someone call it urban forestry when I first started on this site.
  16. Yep all about the wording. Go down the tree root, if anything at least you will have some Xmas trees to sell. Farm I used to work for had this when he brought another farm, one of the workers moved into it. As far as I have seen forestry and agriculture come under the same class.
  17. It's not bartering, I just walk along and all my brain says is junk junk junk junk. There has been some good things I have seen at them but never get to barter them down, everyone wants a fortune for stuff. One guy was trying to sell a non working spin cutter for 180 he wouldn't back down no matter who asked. It looked like stihl but I wasn't convinced it was, right colour but no stickers or markings. Plus I don't like clutter I'm never going to use so I go on the lookout for mowers, strimmers, some hunting gear. Things like that.
  18. We normally go to them. We are doing one tomoz. As they say ones mans junk and all that. I don't normally buy form booties, I'm very select at buying things.
  19. Get some wire core made up. Like the stuff in flip lines. I have some on mine and use both the strap and the wire.
  20. Never forgotten to hitch anything up but have forgotten to take the brake off or lift the jockey wheel up. Amazing how much burnt rubber smoke a jockey wheel gives off at 50 mph.
  21. I always look into new gear. Especially petrol tools or engine machines. I would rather pay a bit extra for something that has a good warrantee package than a second hand tool that could break the next day. If it even works in the first place especially from flea bay
  22. I'm going to get the legs padding beefed up a bit on mine and made a bit longer so it reaches all the way round my legs to stop the pinching. It's not uncomfy but its enough to know and feel. But then I'm only rec climbing so I'm not wearing chainsaw trousers normally just shorts.
  23. I'm using the same harness and I'm not bothered by it at all. I did however find that the legs straps can pinch me on the inside leg.
  24. I need to get my backside in gear and order some micro pulleys, will have to get something else to push the order over fifty quid.
