  1. Hi Shavey & Happy New Year to you & all, murky fog here, Barely 6 months out of re-hab & back to following the Dolmar threads When my 250 dies the 420 is its replacement, but it refuses to lie down... All the best & keep up the good work N
  2. Bon Année, Bon santé à tous N
  3. Indeed, theres want, need & wanton need or is it want one need? Along with the mandatory Sugihara bar I presume? N
  4. Ah ha, its chainsawbars.co.uk - not .com, if you own the .com you just need to alias it or use a 301 redirect. Incidentally, the bar here looks like its a 24" bar 84DL as opposed to 25" as stated VT3T-8Q62-A Sugihara 25" Pro Solid - 3/8" .058 84 drive links - Sugihara Guide Bars same bar on chainsawbars.co.uk states 24" 84DL VT3T-8Q62-A Sugihara Pro Solid 24" 3/8 .058 84 drive links - Chainsawbars N

    Moles

Hi Mick, I had a problem where as soon as I killed one another would move in despite trying to flatten everything to stop them. After the next kill I poured just a few drops into each hole & they diddnt return. Worth a go if they are persistent N
  6. Hi Rob, Looks good, however your http://www.sugiharabars.com now seems unavailable, you can always update with a 301 redirect to chansawbars.co.uk to preverve any search engine ranking. N
  7. Hi Ive owned a 365xt for several years its a good saw, some report starting problems but the trick is to not use the decomp valve, choke out 2 pulls, choke in & usually starts 3rd / 4th go. Hot start usually first pull. I run mine on Aspen. It runs well on a 20" bar & seems fairly effortless with a sharp chain. It can also be modified to a similar power as a 372 by grinding the transfer ports but I havnt done that as power seems fine. still £525 @ FR Jones N

    Moles

Probably only one mole - they are fairly territorial & work alone. Pity you cant get a Detauper as they work a treat Le Détaupeur - Piège à taupe et anti-taupe goes off with a good bang too. They also have a very sensitive nose so if you set traps, wear gloves or they wont go near them. Allegedly they have a stereoscopic sense of smell, but so has my O/H! A few drops of diesel fuel in the runs & piles usually convinces them to go elsewhere. N
  9. Can you get 4G? If so you could consider tethering a mobile with a suitably generous bandwidth allocation N
  10. Hi I connected a business to a satellite a few years ago, it worked well but: 1. the equipment was quite expensive 2. It was very 'lagging' in that it took a little time to process website clicks, this is due to the distance between earth & satellite. However, if your existing connection is poor then this may be less noticable. I suspect the routing kit is much cheaper now & some of the lag may have been removed by composite soultions where requests are sent via conventional broadband & data is downloaded via the satellite link N
  11. RIP George, Somewhat sad that people chose my earlier thread to post in a negative way, not expected as intended for people to post respectfully. N
  12. So sad, such a tallented young man. N
  13. Wow, your photoshop skills astound me! Happy Christmas all N
  14. Excellent choice. I think with danish oil you need a few coats, polyurethane may end up too glossy. Think I'd be tempted to have a go with waxing it, may have to buff it a bit. N
  15. Hi Just a thought, we are going to UK in early January, we have an Xtrail if they would fit in that - just the two of us travelling but have a tight schedule on the UK side. Both good French speakers, if all else fails we could divert through Angers. N
  16. Hi Firstly you need to understand that power in Watts = Amps x Volts - so if you have 120Watts of light they will draw 10 Amps from a 12 volt (nominal) battery ie: 120W = 10A x 12V. So you need to first calculate the current your lights will draw, if it is significant then you need to allow sufficient cable capacity, fusing & a relay to handle it. In my above example of 10 Amps draw for a 120 W light, I would double the current carrying capacity of the cable to 20 Amps - or more perhaps 30Amp & use a 15 Amp fuse to protect the cable run. The fuse must be rated accordingly to permit it to blow before the cable melts & causes a fire. I would use a relay to switch the current again rated at the same of the cable 20Amp maybe 30Amp, The relay switching circuit carries minimal current, perhaps a few milliamps, so that is not significant & you could spur it from a separate fused circuit. The main supply, i would take from the battery, via a suitably rated fuse, switched through the relay. Thats how I would implement it N
  17. Hi That looks really good, love the curves in your timber Nice one N

    High Topping

Hi Excellent work as always, great video thanks N
  23. Whilst France is handy you will need to speak the language & there are employment problems. Canada would be my choice if I was your age & (I suspect) single, either that or Australia/NZ Good luck anyway, N
