  1. Spot on Spud, you also have to take into account the time to build it & get it going although Im sure theres plenty capable here. I used to build computers from parts, it was fun for a time but when part A dosnt work with B because of C it becomes frustrating & I suspect this may have its pitfalls. I take it you wont be finishing assembly when it arrives part complete then? N
  2. I almost forgot foolishIT... https://www.foolishit.com/cryptoprevent-malware-prevention/ They have a nice little utility that will stop a wide variety of ransmware type attacks. Foolish not to really? N
  3. Yes me too, steel quality is excellent N
  4. Hi Rob, both doing fine, will only use Sugi bars from now N
  5. Hmm, Not much technical info to go on but it looks like a cross site scripting attack & as stated by Mr B its unlikely to be anything afecting the Arbtalk server itself, unfortunately most web browsers are fairly vulnerable & if you want to improve your web browsers security I would: 1. Install the add on No Script to FF & Safari, Im not sure if it works with IE or Chrome but there should be something similar. Once installed you then permit scripts on web sites which makes your browser much more secure. GITF for more. 2. Install the add on 'Ublock Origin' or AdBlock if you dont already use an adblocker, it will speed up your browsing & reduce the risk of a hostile ad attack. You can whitelist sites such as Arbtalk where the ads are generally useful. 3. Install the add on 'Ghostery' which controls tracking cookies a lot of sites use, some which can be hostile. 4. If you dont use a decent AV solution, try Sophos Home, it's very good & free and also blocks known attack sites 5. If you're a bit more adventurous & you track down where its coming from then you just need to add the line to your hosts file: 127.0.0.1 nastysite.com nastysite.com being the origin of the attack & will be forever resolved to the loopback IP & thus your browser will ignore it. Once installed one visit to dailymail.co.uk will show you the heaps of crap that are filtered out, if you bank on-line then I strongly recommend NoScript. This is only the briefest response to what is an ever increasing problem and please be assured the above add ons do work very well as Ive trialed them on some extremely aggresive malware sites. take care N
  6. Hi, In my opinion its systemic & depending on severity of invasion to the host tree, will eventually kill it. I would consider removing infected limbs to control its spread, which will prolong the time between remedial action & eventual felling. N
  7. Hi, I agree with what Stubby has posted, in addition you might like to check the flue for leaks & also check you have sufficient ventilation to enable the flue to draw as you may be trying to pull a small vacuum in your house:confused1: if you have double glazing and it seals well. Just for reference our Villager A (14Kw I think) has a 5.5" flue & Im unsure if increasing the flue diameter will neccessarily increase the air flow unless everything else is right - there may also be regulation governing flue diameter. Increasing the height of the flue will help. When its going full blast, we've had upto 280 degrees C on the canopy so plenty of flow up the flue N
  8. Id go for the 501sx, Im sure the mere mention of inboard clutch...
  9. Made me smile Good spot for your Jackie to rack out N
  10. if you order 4 packs the fifth pack is free so you get 5 packs for £36 & 36/5 = 7.20 N

    Laptops

Indeed, you can never have too much power or ram for photos, I would have a poke around the tinterwebs for tips on Macs, its different but in a nice way although I can understand some learning curve from Windows Switching To Mac - Once you go Mac, you never go back for example </de-rail> N
  12. If you look at afleetcommand on youtube he's put together two Farmertec kits [ame] [/ame] Reliability? unknown, not my cup of tea.
  13. Me neither, you can't go far wrong with a 3 series Husky, I get a twitch for a 390 or a 395 every now and again as I wonder how long before they get the autotune nonsense, which of course some people love. N
  14. Genrally 24" bars and above, never tried on anything shorter but I suspect some one here who may have tried. Due to less cutters theres a bit less drag, so reduced load on the crank & it clears better but slightly more prone to kickback. 365 bars are 3/8th 0.058" guage & as far as I know Rob D is the only UK supplier of this chain & highly recomended too. So might be worth considering. N
  15. yes, some good work there, nice & neat well done N
  16. Hi, According to testing & guidance from Teufelberger: 1. Do not wash the rope more often than is absolutely necessary! 2. We recommend to use rope detergents in accordance with the provided instructions. 3. Consequently, the washing temperature must never be higher than 30°C. 4. Rinse/post rinse the ropes well, using clean water. 5. Do not use your washing machine's "spinning" function when washing the ropes. 6. Allow the ropes to dry naturally. Do not dry them in direct sunlight, near heat sources or in driers https://honeybros.com/media/Brands/Teufelberger/PDFs/Deliberate-Damage_of_Ropes.pdf refers N
  17. You might like to consider a skip chain, available in 0.058" from RobD 73JGX Oregon Full Skip Chisel Chain 3/8 .058 - Chainsawbars
  18. Should this post not include a poll? MacBook pro with modified version of FireFox as Mac based since 2004 N
  19. [ame] [/ame] or you can just fit 372 transfers if you dont want to grind em, same size AFAIK N
  20. Echo 620 or Husqvarna 365xt The Husky being 70.7cc & can run up to 28" bar albiet slowly but RobD now has 0.058" full skip. N.
  21. Fairly cold here, down to -5 degC at night, but clear blue sky & sunny during the day N
  22. Excllent, well done Rob & good luck with new web site, looks very impressive:thumbup1: Just one thing, its always useful to have your phone number in the header of a webpage, so if some one just wants to discuss what they see in front of them its handy N
  23. Hi I agree, it dosnt look right to me. Should there not be a collar for the flue pipe to locate into though? N
  24. Hi Steve, Sorry to hear you've been unwell & hope you get well soon, any chance of a New Year, Easter or even summer raffle? Keep up the good work N
