  1. Spotted this in Sainsbury last time over http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/château-barreyres-haut-médoc-75cl Wine search rates it 87/100, Ive drunk it some years ago & very good too. The price here is usually around 11 euros so a more modest UK mark-up at £12.
  2. Nice 15 & 16 good years, you might like to decant for 15-20 mins I'll let you tell Tescos Libourne & St Emillion are on the right bank of the Dordogne, Gironde is the region & estuary after the Dordogne meets the Garonne & a fair bit downstream from the St Emillion region. Oh well thats how I know it anyway. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/271773804
  3. Thats fairly impressive production even by French standards, well done.

    Dolmar

Good idea until it gets returned as not working, minus the part that went wrong in the E-bay buyers saw!

    Dolmar

OK, I promise I will buy one when my 250 dies, but its still going strong...
  6. Yes, they have a bit of a 'clear out' in September.
  7. Hi Steve, If you are planning a trip to the Bordeaux region with wine in mind, then St Emillion is a good place to start with Pomerol & the less expensive Lalande de Pomerol nearby as are Sauternes & Graves. Whilst the left bank is a popular destination the the great growths are priced accordingly, however Ch Cissac in between St Julien & St Estephe makes excellent affordable wine.
  8. Just read Marco Pierre Whites article in the Telegraph somewhat damming English wine & dont agree. I've drunk some very acceptable English wine, mainly whites, furthermore if it wasnt comercailly viable it wouldn't happen. Anyway, tonights vin rouge is Côtes de Bourg & very nice too, in fact Côtes de anything - Rhone, Blaye, Bourg, Castillon, Rousillon, etc is usually good. Our own two vines have been productive, the mou (juice) makes pineau - a bit like sherry and will soon be picking a friends Merlot which is looking good despite some frost earlier on in the year around bud burst.
  9. I think Makita bought Dolmar from Sachs in 1991
  10. Thank you for another interesting post, which must have taken a significant amount of time and effort to conduct your research, well done. N
  11. First class advert, sounds like an excellent company & what a great opportunity awaits. Heres wishing I was about 35 years younger...
  12. I agree, it appears the tail is wagging the dog. However, a Dolmar 420 from Shavey might fit the bill, although an Echo 620sx or Husqvarna 365xt is probably better suited for your needs. What ever you get run it in Aspen if its going to get left idle as theres enough 'stale fuel wrecked my...' threads already. N

    Chainsaws.

Bumber spikes? Oh er, backs to the wall If you are taking CS30/31 I think recomended guide bar is 15" & 50cc max - anyone confirm that? So if you turn up with a Spud ported 395 with a 36" bar they may not be best pleased N
  14. Hi Steve, Weve used Brittany Ferries recently, Caen to Portsmouth & St Malo - Portsmouth, no problems. The problem with the tunnel is it makes it a much longer drive to get to Spain, I would say by 300Km maybe a bit more. If you want to make a road trip out of it, then I'd consider Portsmouth - St Malo then drive south, fairly easy from St M, you want Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux after which it might be signposted to Spain although you probably have Sat Nav. Its 2 lane no paige for about the first 180Km south from St Malo & after which there is a choice, but the paige can be boring unless you just want to transit from A-B. The West coast of France has a very nice vibe, Jard sur Mer being our Favourite but Salbes d'lonne, Il d'oleron, il de Noirmoutier & further north into Britany is all very nice. You'll have to call in if you intend to transit the A83 we are near Fontenay le Comte. Agreed, the Venice Verte is very pretty Then Id get the ferry back from Santander or Bilbao to Portsmouth. Bon route N
  15. Affecting a lot of NHS IT systems & hopefully not yours... You may like to look at the foolishit.com website which has a little utility called cryptoprevent which does work. Consider installing the add on 'No Script' to your browser, it provides very good defence from script attacks Delete email with attachments if you dont know where they are from, they will re-send if its really important! Keep an independant backup of your system on a drive that is disconnected from your computer. Keep your AV updated - Sophos Home is free and rather good Take care N
  16. If its Stihl then 461 or 661 If its Husqvarna then 390 or 395 If its Dolmar then 7900 or 9000/9010 I would get a 395 N
  17. Hmm, Thats a fairly strong pointer that its browser based, particually as there have been some reports of it apearing via Firefox so not just a Chrone issue/vuln I bet NoScript will also stop it, what ever it is N
  18. Can you (& anyone else experiencing this) post a bit more detail such as: Web browser used URL of page on arbtalk viewed screen dump of popup anyhting else of relevance thanks N
  19. Thats how the BBC ended up serving malware although the attack was dileraberate, they just bought advertising space & slung malware from the ads. Its possible an advertiser could submit a vulnerable script in their ads & be unaware of the exploit. Anyone got a URL for the malware yet, or does it vary? N
  20. OK, Thanks John K So it looks like we are looking for a cript injection as opposed to browser extension, 3rd party adverts perhaps?
  21. OK, After a bit of search Im fairly sure the cause is Chrome extensions, so 1. Click the wrench at the top right of the browser. 2. Select settings 3. Click on extentions either disable all or disable individually until you find the one causing the problem. If some one could post back N
  22. OK, This is an inspired guess, I think people who experience this problem may have installed a Chrome add on which has a vulnerability or is a PUA (unwanted aplication) So, is there a way to manage add ons in Chrome? If so then some experimenting with disabling add ons & browsing as its not just Abrtalk it affects people browsing Amazon and other sites. Also a scan with MalwareBytes would be beneficial as that detects PUAs as does Googles own tool https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/6086368?hl=en&vid=0-1227583814471-1494256397041 Please post back any one who finds anything
  23. Odd, as the UBlock link is Googles own, sure you are squeaky clean? what AV & Malware progs do you use, just out of interest? I take it you have chrome pop-up setting set to Block ? Is it always the same URL in the pop-up ? as that should be easy to defeat. & is your version of Chrome up to date
  24. OK, Assuming this is a Chrome exploit/issue, as try as I may I can't seem to get it to appear. So has anyone tried something to control scripts in Chrome? - similar to NoScript as previously posted, such as: UBlock origin: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm ScriptSafe: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/scriptsafe/oiigbmnaadbkfbmpbfijlflahbdbdgdf I know UBlock is very good & it would make general web browsing more secure N
  25. Very sorry to hear this RIP
