  1. I don't know if the oil hole would line up as never tried it but I do know that length for length a husky bar uses more driver links that the equivalent Stihl
  2. Hi Steve . Shed loads on this subject already . If you put log splitter in a search should come up with plenty
  3. Good spot Steve only I suspect he just can't spell as it has a Stihl sticker on the cover .....
  4. Stubby

    Moto GP

Well . Anyone got money on Marquez winning every round let alone the championship ???
  5. The chain that came with mine was hopeless as are ,I seem to remember roller guides ! Change the chain for the Oregon one or better still get a loop of Stihl full chisel made up for it . Don't like roller guides as they work ok for the first few sharpenings then the plastic rollers ware down putting the file too low . Best to sharpen free hand or with an Oregon metal plate guide . Just me ....
  6. Had exactly the same with my first pair . I noticed coz there is a a black ware patch on the inside of the ankle . On mine it was on the inside on one leg and the outside on the other . There must be a duff batch floating around . They sent me a new pair strait away and left me to return the dodgy ones in my own time .
  7. The impulse pipe pulls off when/if you drop it on its strop and when the av spring is fully bent it wont fit back on
  8. And a drill and pin punch to get the old rivets out
  9. Depends on what bit you want to break . If you want the lower AV spring to bend and the techlite bar to come apart but a good cutting saw when its new go for the Husky . If you want the top handle to break and not cut any better than your knob go for the Stihl ....Choice is yours
  10. Got my bar changed under warranty , or possibly the very good will of my dealer , but did not get another chocolate bar . Got the older more robust Husqvarna bar .
  11. Second that . Bit of electric .
  12. Thats a good call . I did exactly that . Found the chip the next morning right were I had dropped the key . It has rained and wind all night long but it was still there luckily !
  13. Meteor pistons are about OEM quality . Have heard some people using Highway kits . Spud has had success with Meteor pistons but using OEM gudgeon pin clips . He also cleans all the aluminum transfer of the original cylinder meticulously if its not too badly scored and is able to re use it with the Meteor piston . Have a look on his " Whats on your bench " thread . so much useful stuff on there .....
  14. My stubble is like piano wire . A dry electric shaver wont touch it . Has to be a very sharp wet razor .
  15. Can only be wet for me . One of those Gillette multiblade things that vibrate as well . Also it has to be a few days growth to make for a clean shave . Electric dry shavers give me a rash .
  16. Tracked chipper ? 2 birds one stone kinda thing ?
  17. Sorry . I kinda figured that , just messin' with you ...
  18. How long you been a doctor ?
  19. I went for the older type Husky bar . Better made slightly heaver but wont fall apart like the techcrap bars .
  20. Mmmm . Just deserts . Had he gone via the proper channels he my have got a permission for a reduction ....
  21. As I mentioned earlier . Mine did that all the way back to the mount ....
