  1. The only things that have to match are the drive sprocket and the chain and the nose sprocket pitches . As long as they are all .375 or all .325 then your ok . Also the gauge of the the chain must match the width of the slot formed by the bar rails . 1.3 or 1.5 or 1.6 etc . As for number of teeth on the drive sprocket I would keep it standard ( probably 7 ) unless your saw is modified in any way ( ported ) to make it run harder . Putting an 8 on will give you a faster chain speed for a given rpm ( in fresh air ) but may not have the torque to keep it from bogging at full bar depth cuts . Any more than a one tooth increase usually means you have to add drivers to the chain loop as it wont be long enough to fit . Hope this makes sense .
  2. I think it is a real shame . Husky has had shed loads of time to develop this saw and test it thoroughly . The potential was there but they have missed a trick if you ask me . When you first get it it seems great . Cuts strong and handles sweet but as time goes on things start to crop up . The rear AV spring thing is a joke . The Cadburys bar is another . The splitting fuel tank ( which I have not expedience yet ) is another . With no opposition at the time they have shot them selves in the bollox . A real Shame . When its going its a cracker but its tooo fragile ....
  3. Do you mean registered as Agg like a Mog or siomilar ?
  4. I had that tread pattern in some tyres called " Big Macho " by Greenway . Good in the mud noisy on the road . They were retreads by the way .
  5. If it was that the hole would be elliptical in the cooling fin as it is on a different plain to the axis of the plug hole .
  6. Swan lake tutu , flip flops and deelyboppers ......
  7. Suggestion or a known fact ? Seems a little to close to spark plug but if you know thats what it is then thats what it is
  8. I don't think its a flaw . Look at it . If its cast in there ( same finish as every were else ) then its meant to be there , If its got a shiny finish then some one has bored / drilled it them selves for what ever reason . Either way it wont affect the running of the saw . Its in a cooling fin and I suppose it could affect the cooling minutely but nothing to worry about .
  9. I have the Husqvarna 325 ( older model than the 327 ) Think it has a better quality carb than the newer ones , so my dealer tells me . Other than that they are pretty much the same .
  10. 2nd that on the Redline 2 stroke racing oil . Good smell to !

    Uniforms

The tight fitting neck would do me in .
  14. I think there must be a wall of another building just out of shot to the left as you view the clip . The springy brashy ends have sprung it back toward him as it parts ? possibly ...
  15. Mine is the older D22 and tows a Jenson A530 and or a log splitter and a back full of logs . Its an 05 and still on the original clutch . Touch wood !
  16. Well all my Fender guitar necks are made from Canadian hard rock maple , quarter sawn to make them very stable . To be very honest I dont know if it would be good for impact stuff but then again I don't have areason why it would not . Try a bit ( see how easily I said Try a bit ! )
  17. Hickory is supposed to be good but you don't have any .....So I would go with the hard rock maple ( rightly or wrongly )
  18. Might just be the pedal and not the clutch itself ? I had a sorta light graunching sound when I depressed the pedal for a while then I vacuumed out the truck ( well over due ) and its gone now ! Possible could be the thrust bearing on yours I suppose ....

    Dream houses

Yea . We have done some tree work and hedging on some of the very rich yacht y type people in Bosham in West Sussex . Some really nice drums there . Also one or two very modern German built eco houses that cost 4p month to heat and beam your morning paper strait to your bedroom ... Very cleaver things but I don't like them .
  20. Suddenly there is an outbreak of Alec's ......Hi mate and welcome .
  21. Skyhuck has had this problem I think . .....
  22. I have heard that Highway are pretty good but not used one myself . No chance of salvaging the OEM pot and fitting a Metior piston ? Look on spuds " whats on your bench " thread for details of how to clean up the pot . As to a new pot and piston only lasting a week ...could be down to crappy manufacturing or could be down to you didn't fix what made it go in the first place , like an air leak or whatever ...
