  1. I bought them because I was tired of the soles falling off my air streams. After a few weeks find them very comfortable. But very snug. I used to have to wear thick socks but no longer have to. My concern was that they wouldn't keep the water out. Having walked in wet grass and bracken they have been good so far but not sure if that will last or not. But a thumbs up. Especially at that price.
  2. It's probably a baffle. I had 2 do that. If you can remove it you are some kind of magician!! I carried in with both mufflers for a long time and it never wore down small enough to make its way back in the cylinder so you'll be alright for now. Scrap that just read the rest of the thread 🤦‍♂️
  3. Not mine but my Dad pair of County's.
  4. If you do it above while cutting timber I guess that would defeat the the object of protecting the timber Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Sorry to hi jack an old thread. But my 550 which has been great for four years has just started playing up. It starts fine and runs on half choke. And it's runs fine on full throttle but as soon as you let go it dies. I have checked fuel filter and spark plug. Any ideas what else it could be would be greatly appreciated. 11. Sorry for the derail. Has anyone ever converted a dumper for use as a skidding unit? Not talking huge timber but just multiple fire wood lengths. A friend of mine and me had an idea to weld a plate to the front of the bucket with the notches for choker chains, tip the bucket, hook on the chains and put the bucket down lifting up the logs. Only issue with this would be driving everywhere in reverse Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Are you the sane Dorset hedglayer that has recently done the little bit in Gillingham? Just up from colesbrook ford. Looks good. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  16. NJ I have sent you a pm. I am based in wilts/Dorset and been in the game for a few years. Mainly as a groundy but I love the hand cutting side of the game and love tree felling as its what I have been brought up with with my old man being a hand cutter for the last 35 years. So if anyone wants a hard working pair of hands give me a shout. I have small and large felling tickets. And like to think I do a good job.
  17. Be careful. I lost the little grub screw when I went to put it on my harness last week. Do it in a clear area👍🏼👍🏼
  18. Try running running some petrol through the tank first it may clear the blockage.
  19. That's a bloody good idea. I guess you just drilled the lid on the tool box and bolted the vice on.
  20. That's a lovely little tractor. I'm a bit jealous. Got any other pictures? I bet she comes in handy.
  21. Hi Jon. We play against David Francis.
  22. I play skittles with David Barnett. Actually I'm shooting with him next week. What a small world.
  23. I've not heard of Charlie Riggs but knew Gordy well. Unfortunately he passed away last year very peacefully. He didn't wake from his afternoon nap. And I know John snook very well. He has only recently stopped following the hunt due to ill health but I often see him in the pub and he tells me about the glory days of hunting.
