  2. Here is some pics of my old man’s county’s. The 1174 from the tele
  3. We don't buy standing. we are contracting directly to the estate or forestry consultant. They then Market the timber.

  5. I'm honestly not too sure about the strength once milled but I know the market is still very good. Tylers are certainly buying a lot that we are cutting along with quite a bit going for export. Heres some sawlogs from the last month AD9A9E28-3909-458C-BF3F-B9343E7ADDC1.heic CCCB7C24-5FBD-4B5C-AF43-A3C4FB3D75E3.heic 972A4A75-0D64-448B-B00F-3764C05DFC5C.heic A3315796-A93C-469C-BB9A-7058AB52BCC8.heic
  6. Hi Openspaceman. Just a little clarification. The window was smashed years ago (a little mistake with the anchors while loading her on a lorry). The tree wasn't felled on the tractor. It was felled on a go pro for dramatic effect. (no need to report anything). Im not sure they would have showed a tree felling on a tractor on TV. The same with the Skidding. There just wasn't a forwarder on site. That 2 minutes of tele was over a days worth of filming. They cut 6 or so trees some wedged and some straight felled. And this is what they ended up with. They also did much more on woodland management and ADB but none of that ended up being used.
  7. Hi. I’m on the lookout for a PTO winch. Is anyone selling anything at the moment. Thanks
  8. How close to bath are you. Maybe try Somer valley tree services. He’s near frome
  9. Where in south west is it. Could try East Bros sawmills
  10. Small ammo box is the perfect size for chain boxes.
  11. I see it had been moved and then your post and put 2 & 2 together. Glad it’ll be put to good use. I assumed it would only be good for firewood
  12. Is that the tree that was fallen in the hedge on the side of the road just down from you?
  13. Are you looking for seasoned?
  14. Due to an increased work load I am looking for someone to work alongside myself on a self employed basis. The work would involve felling hardwoods and some hand stacking. Pay would be dependant on experience and ability. Please contact me on 07896016310 Many thanks Lewis.
  15. Where are you in South Wilts. I’m on the wilts/Dorset border and it’s looking terrible around here.
  16. I’m looking to replace my Sena unit which is no longer charging and I’m looking at the X-com ear defenders as a possible replacement. I don’t often use the intercom on the sena but when I did it was very useful. I was just wondering if the X-coms can connect to other intercoms, or should I just bugged the expense and get another sena?
  17. My new arb pup. Patterdale x Lakeland.
  18. I am very tempted to do just that.
  19. Alright chaps. I’ve got a 576xp auto tune which is running on. I’m not sure what the problem. It’s seems to be fine when started from cold but as soon as you make a few cuts it seems to start running on a bit. Not stupidly fast but enough to be annoying and dangerous.
  20. I may know of one in Dorset. In need of restoration.
  21. I didn’t initial but I did check that when I put it all back together and it wouldn’t start right. I have head of this being an issue sometimes.
  22. Thanks. Taking the exhaust off is my next port of call.
  23. I took all the running gear off. Clutch, bearing, sprocket etc and still the same
  24. Any one got any bright ideas for me.... I’ve got a 560. Chain was running on and stalling when I applied the chain brake. My initial thought was clutch which I changed. Since I’ve done that I can’t really start the saw unless I hold the throttle in. And then it dies when I release the throttle then won’t start again at all. It made no difference when I removed all the running gear. TIA
  25. Yeah I always try and chase the hinge off if safe to do so.
