  1. Yeah I’d had a few split today. Not much of a problem when they are small but this one was a bit bigger so stuck the letter box in. I do for most Ash of any size now.
  2. I like the look of the belt without all the rubbish. Any one know if it’s available on its own. I use a single pouch with log tongs and tape. And occasionally an ochsenkopf wedge pouch which comfortably holds three or four plastic wedges.
  3. How much?
  4. Would anyone be happy running a 20" bar on a 562, I'm considering one or maybe I should wait for a 572, although I have heard that they are blowing crank seals.
  5. Send Me your Email address and I can send you over a copy of the template.
  6. Lawson Cypress I believe
  7. Playing skittles many people try and tell me that the pins are made of apple wood. Even whenI’ve told them I cut sycamore timber for skittles they don’t believe me.
  8. Try George Genge. He is a Honiton based timber haulier and I know he supplies a few places with chip wood.
  9. Luckily the roof is tin. The rest was cobbled together years ago out of asbestos and wood.
  10. It’s had it! Built on a timber frame which is rotting and I want something secure which this is not.
  11. Cheers lads good reply’s. Looks like text screws is the way forward. I will do similar on the inside with ply and insulated to make a proper man cave!
  12. I’m hoping to move house shortly, the house I’m buying has an old asbestos garage that needs knocking down ASAP. I was thinking of buying a container to replace it and cladding it in some waney edge larch or similar go make it look less industrial and hopefully please the planners. Has anyone here done this themselves and what do you think the best way is. Glueing batons to the container? Or screwing on. Timber frame? And would it require a sloped roof? Any suggestions are most welcome. Thanks
  13. Surely best to listen to the defence as well as the prosecution. Surely it’s their job to paint him in as bad a light as possible.
  14. I hear what your saying. I think I’d be knackered if I had to use steels all the time. They do come in handy for learners though. They seem to draw into the cut better than plastics or hi- lifts.
  15. Sycamore and spruce fell from this week.
  16. Has anyone had a domestic biomass heating system installed. Specifically a log boiler. I’m looking to buy a house with no central heating and was thinking instead of installing a gas a system, why not put in a wood system to make use of arb waste and wood that I could source myself.
  17. Had anyone had any luck getting the zips fixed in their Pfanners. I’m not worried about the pockets, but the flys have gone on mine and it’s a tad breezy. I took them into the dry cleaners but they said they can’t do it due to the material being too thick. TIA
  18. If you ever get any work a little bit further east let me know if you need a hand cutter.
  19. Try Pete Booth. Based near Wilton.
  20. Did you ever getting any more felling spikes. Unfortunately my 365 was nicked but would be after a couple of sets for a 576.
  21. Handcutter available for days in south Wilts/Dorset area. Experience cutting firewood and timber. Can be available for regular days or one off jobs. From Feb 18 onwards. CS 30.31.32.38.39.
