Get sorted? Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Boshed a big dead horse chestnut down today. Had a tractor winch helping hump the big tops away from another tree. Done by lunch. Happy days Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Geez. Run it over? Reg style modding? Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. What's with the seemingly random pictures on the topic headers on the app? Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Stand it up push on the release lever setting and wiggle the pull lever at same time usually works for me Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. That's great to have it back. So if you search for something on chrome and a search result comes up with an arbtalk thread if you click it it opens the app and lands you on the subscribed page. Which in my case is blank. Usually not a problem . But can be irritating as the search function on the app is hard to use I find Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. Working fine here. Just Installed it having removed it earlier. Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. yes same as most saws. once you had let both saws throttles off and then started the 084 the 076 did not rev itself, only once both saws were revving and you released only the 076 did it keep going. my guess is that the clutch couldnt disengage as the sprocket was spinning hard driven by the 084 which kept the 076 piston spinning and sucking fuel. perhaps this is more likely to occur with the larger rpm difference between the two saws. just got a bar adapter from you so will give it a go with 660 and 084 and report back.
  9. Steve that has sorted it. I will let you know how the redirects work when new app is a go go
  10. ive definately had some annoying redirecting on android phone, often it tries to launch the app which then fails ( i know the app isnt a go at the minute). this also happens when you search arbtalk via google then click the link it opens the app and just lands you in home page rather than the link you clicked
  11. thus backhandle ms200 with no "t"
  12. looking for new or second hand? around 50cc will do you prob less would work and be lighter. id get a used pro saw over a cheap homeowner new one if i were you. something like husky 550 or 346 or a stihl 261 260 026 241 240 024 would do you if mostly thinning you may condider i super light backhandle ms200 or 201
  13. yes def change any pipes with holes splits or that have gone brittle or harder
  14. not had a 201 to bits but might be 1145 141 8600 its thew hose that runs from the cylinder to your carb that isnt the big fat carb boot, but the sometimes connect to carb boot.
  15. i've been well into my jotuls (prob a 602 would do you) as they are very efficient and been same or similar design since 1930s. recently got a stovax brunel 2cb which seems to really kick it out. what i miss though is that the 602, 380, and 112 jotul take good long logs as they are orientated the other way. let us know what you get
  16. its pretty soft like you can draw on it with your thumb nail. pretty hard to carve with chisels etc as so soft, but we milled it for cladding, and some giant seats and its certainly stable and has lasted well
  17. if your lucky the fuel hose inside fuel take has got stuck somewhere high in tank. but guess you have tried fill saw to brim? strip and clean carb?

46.97mm diameter (47mm) skirt to top 40.5 center hole to top 17.5mm (from top of centre hole to top.) centre hole to bottom is 12mm (again bottom of gudeon hole to bottom of skirt my calipers are cheap so give or take a tiny bit feeling smug i kept my old piston. knew it would come it, it is a mahle one, i replaced with a meteor pc1884b. 4 years ago still ok
  19. meybs have a read through the forum for yourself. some people love em some hate em but lets not have another sales pitch please
  20. sorry stihl was wrong there think thats the one 11236402007
  21. i have 2 very nearly new stihl 1/4 sprocket (11236402073) for a 181 if you want one for slightly cheaper than new? pm me. also have a 8inch cannon bar if its any good to you? its quarter tip not dime though so you would need the sprocket. ccq-c1-8-50. vgc barely used. sprockets £20 inc postage bar £40 inc postage sorry for shameless sale. just reminded me i had stuff knocking about in back of workshop!
  22. milling tother day with 084 and 076, had a pretty wierd thing happen where if i let go of the 076 throttle and the 084 was still going the 076 continued to rev, at what i suspect was above max rpm. i may be imagining it but all i can think of was that the 084 was driving the 076 piston which was sucking fuel and holding the butterfly open. just wondering if anyone has had this. or can shed some light on this? from memory the 084 rpm is 12.5k and the 076 is 10.5k
  23. Have used one but have a 357. Not a touch on a 440 up a tree. Reckon you wouldn't miss the 261 if you had a 560 much though. Might be worth checking what generation carb it is etc as some known issues? Sure someone knows more on this Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. Suspect your better off buying a spares or repair oem saw and Fixing it up. Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. Was thinking that but just got a 440. Nearly same weight but good bit punchier Sent from my SM-G390F using Arbtalk mobile app
