  1. Best not to I think. If your not firm with them at first they'll never learn. Seriously though I think you can create a glaze or something on cylinder if you pussy foot about when new.
  2. I bought a backhandle ms201 from a tree surgeon who said all his lads use them in the tree as he reckons it's loads safer.....id never even considered not using a top handle til then
  3. Personally I can't stand it when people immigrate from another county into Northumberland. They've never even paid council tax here before then expect a school for their kids. Sometimes they may work for less too also I hear. Everyone should just stick to within a few miles of their birth place
  4. I'd be into leaf blower ticket if part of the training included firing it Into your open mouth test
  5. Relieved to to hear not everyone doing waste carriers licence.
  6. Right enough that was another appauling accident......they sounded similar enough for me to assume it was the same.....jeez
  7. I assumed this was the same accident?
  8. What's the point in it? Why do they bother making you have one?
  9. Sounds sensible. I usually just swear and fire stuff around the workshop for a bit
  10. If the bark has been rolled on mud hack it off of its clean just lash on. Mush sap wood won't hurt the mill. The oak won't have rotted any 2 a couple years..... Enjoy! And get a winch for yer mill
  11. Scares the shit out of me reading this and knowing how easily done an accident like this would be. Just a moment's lapse in concentration......sad times
  12. https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/cylinder-with-piston-47-mm-for-stihl-ms362-ms362c-part-no-1140-020-1200.html You may only need a piston depending on how damaged your cylinder is.....they a pretty tough. Have a read on the what's on my bench today...alot on there about cleaning up cylinder. You will need to find the cause of the sieze so it doesn't happen again!
  13. Think last time a talked to Rob d about it he said speed difference with and 880 on lo pro and 404 was pretty marginal also....
  14. Listing for second one has gone.. He did send his address and everything. ....
  15. What is a rope shear and how does it work and was it not on that chipper on vid?
  16. I'm half on the hunt for a knackered chipper that I'll have to keep throwing money/time at until I eventually give up realizing I've spent more than I would have than just buying new. There seem to be a lot of people on eBay wanting you to email them then arrange a bit it now through eBay before you have looked at it....like this http:// https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F162752031846 And this http:// https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253257731747 The second one the fella has sent an email with pics and buy it now price and he said: "The Item is in excellent condition. The buy it now price including shipping is £2500 (delivered anywhere ). If you decide to buy it but we have to close the deal through eBay , i will put a buy it now price for you only. And you will also have 2 days for inspection, if you do not like it for any reason you will receive a full refund. Thank you, and I hope to hear from you soon. 2008 greenmech chipper great machine it's my second chipper gets used hardly ever but we take it out once a week to keep her going just been serviced last month by browns at Leighton buzzard spent 3k on her new rollers new belt tensioner new pump see photos turned blades its the circular ones so better on the wallet turn them 3 times before sharpening " Seems weird....any one have experiences of this type of thing?
