  1. Had success with on it today. 10mm ocean poly on 13mm xtc....60cm betwixt eyes. Didn't slip once, but no chance of it self tending. Thanks for tips everyone. Will get used to this then try some others more.

  4. More UK students are studying abroad then ever......its been a slowly increasing thing. Can't really see the downside myself. Hope it continues to be an option whatever happens in brexit

  6. Students from outside eu can only work 20hrs a week whilst they study and ha ing studies in UK does not entitle then to work in UK. Also nothing stopping you learning a foreign language if you want to

  12. Sweet well long as your sure. Other end and branches end grain look good? Can't help terms of price.....it always seems like too much by the time you got it back to yard and milled up...
  13. Id be a bit worried about that Brown rot. You get something out of it but suspect you could loose a third to that. Hard to tell from pics but I have wasted a lot of time milling oak with end grain like that
  14. Just received a stihl rollomatic e from l and s for 43quid. Was expecting a es bar as that was advertised as....anyone used both es and e type and ha e anything to say about them?

  17. More worth milling stuff if you are going to use it yourself. But any spare bits I have seems to get sold eventually, just sold some 40'' wide beech I milled 5 years ago to a cafe. You ever let anyone know you have sheds of boards?

  21. Would you be happy paying for any damage to subbies kit if damaged? That bonus idea sounds like a good incentive to work hard..... Unsure of how to deal with kit damage. my feeling is if you're making money from other people working for you and they damage stuff then you gotta soak it up....get people in you can trust with kit. Accidents happen. Winds me up when I see lads treating their bosses kit badly though...
