  1. Never used one but one he these would prob do http:// https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=stihl+workshop+manual&safe=off&client=ms-android-samsung&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=shop&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjTy4KXuKTXAhUSoKQKHYl4BiwQ_AUIEigB&biw=360&bih=560
  2. http:// He has some other good vids. If you cannot bare a vac test then you could stick a decent meteor piston in, clean your cylinder adjust yer carb( if go 1.25 turns out to be safe) and tune up (many guides available) see how it performs. Airleaks usually are indicates by irractic idle and keep an eye on spark plug colour......def best to do a vac pressure test to eliminate this possible fault though or you could be back to square 1. Good luck
  3. How has it failed? Is the piston scored? Or just low compression? Ideally you would vac/pressure test it ( Google it, I use a mityvac) and this will tell you if you have a air leak in or around crank case.
  4. If it's too long can you just tie a few knots in it?
  5. How did you kill the saw? What happened? Is it oem piston and cylinder?
  6. Id just get someone with a tipper and chipper in when required and get a pickup /van and trailer for now. You can get a lot brash and logs on the right trailer if needed and will give you time to work out what you want.
  7. He also sells cheap Maya chain if your that way inclined
  8. http:// https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F122781742570 Also good
  9. I was offered an old bj land cruiser dropside pickup diesel a few years back. Seemed silly money for what it was (6k) but wish I had bought it now.....
  10. Just checked. Rotatech solid 25inch bar for a 440 is dearer than a stihl es 25" from l and s.....errrr
  11. Aye Milner list a light duty and general duty springs for a mitzy
  12. I would say they are well worn and will not take weight well. If the same as a hilux you can get a hd set and a soft set. Hd ones take weight better but are a rougher ride. Set of us springs was much cheaper than custom made ones around 100quid and happily took a tonne. The advice I got from a leaf spring company was unless you plan to regularly overload the truck don't bother as ride is effected a lot and pretty expensive.
  13. Stihl workshop manual? A bit like this http:// https://www.scribd.com/mobile/document/329420854/STIHL-021-023-025-Workshop-Manual
  14. Have a 440 what wants a bigger bar. Currently on an 18 which cuts well but basically want bigger for dismantles. 24 or 25 seems a bit over kill and clumsy and 20 seems not much bigger than 18. Thoughts?
  15. I think it means lengths rather Than unsplit discs. I would assume that it would be liftable lengths of timber no longer than 1m to 1.5m if someone asked me to cut a tree into cordwood.
  16. Thanks. Really appreciate that. All sorted now though. Will get In touch when it breaks again.
  17. Husqvarna 285CD max rpm 8500 I have just seen
  18. Well my pal seemed to get one from a dealer. Thanks.... Any clues on max rpm for 285cd?
  19. Yeah nice one! Did you use scaff?
