That is s pretty hilarious pic up above..... with my aus pole saw I can usually just extend it until the bottom can sit on the floor so o can pull firmly with either 1 or 2 hands. If the poppers have slightly bitten on then you can pull the branch down a bit to the ground. This is with the hook parrot type loppers That possible with what you got?

Yeah some nice felling. Lovely looking woods you got round your parts too. Apparently the stunt fell rules mean they only qualify for stunt status if you priced the job to dismantle and then you felled though. Not spam, just suddenly quite a lot to look at!

Used saws are like used cars. Total gamble but can save you serious money. Ideally you need to have a go for 10 mins with it to be sure it's all ok. But usually you can tell if a saw has been ragged by how scratched it looks. This however does not mean it's not been well maintained. I buy lots of used saws over new. If on eBay or gum tree I usually want to have a chat with someone see if they seem ok and if they know what they are on about....

Sounds like you might not have a decent dealer/ tech near you. For the sake of 15 quid I'd send it to spud for diagnoses. Then you'll know where you are. Or if you have basic skills ignition coil is well easy. https://www.lsengineers.co.uk/ignition-module-for-stihl-ms200t-ms210-ms230-ms250.html 35 quid for new oem coil. Carb repair also not too bad bit slightly fiddlier. Approx 10er for carb kit. What's the problem with yer saw?

It's is pretty essential to have a impact gun so you can make the pit stop noises when you first get it

I have a 50l tank one from sgs. Great for saws. Not really ok for clackclackclack guns and other beefier tools. But was 180 quid and you can use them but just have to wait for tank to fill up from time to time if you want full torque. Same with the dremel type attachment

When you are more used to maintenance/ working on one brand working on others seems like a pita. I do more work on and own more stihls so huskys always seem like irritating fiddly little basyards. But I run both and always enjoy the way huskys perform. Tbh I reckon most brands are pretty good if they're in fine fettle. With the odd duff model thrown In to keep you on yer toes

Hopefully I could do some work for you at some point then. Sounds like a right giggle.... I do lots of jobs for mysel and get subbed in a bit so need insurance either way. but always wondered whose insurance it would be on.

Weird, I always assumed when I'm getting subbied in for other firms if I smash something it's on my insurance....does that meab subbies should be checking employers for correct insurance?
