  1. But you don't have to except what they offer, I have yet to have a claim with anyone where their first offer was anywhere near it's proper value.
  2. I bought one of the new design ifor's in late 2012 and it is a dreadfull trailer, I have always run ifor's for a lot of years but the design and build quality of the new tippers is just rubbish imo. Do yourself a favour and look at some of the other makes out there, I will never have another tipper from them.
  3. Designing it is the easy bit It's the rest of it that is hard
  4. This has been an excellent truck, I have debated if I should rebuild it on a galv chassis, but I really don't have the time.

  7. I have decided to get rid of the 300tdi hicap, since putting the 130 on the road it has sat in the yard most days.
  8. Cheers for the replies. Thought I would have a chat with tracmaster as looking through the parts manual it appears the 80cm can only use the light duty tines, they recommended the 66cm unit as it was built for the hire market and uses the heavy duty tines and we work on heavy clay in most of the area, so a 66cm ordered today
  9. Perhaps like wasp traps, you use something to temp them in that bees are not interested in.
  10. The least they could do is put a decent pic of one on their website, not what they have on there now.
  11. That's excellent, some really talented people out there
  12. Well moving on from my post about power rakes I now have a BCS 740 electric start petrol with blec power rake but now want to get a rotavotor unit for it. Now BCS do 2 sizes for the 740 a 66cm and an 80cm, I would like the 80 but wonder if anyone has any experience with it fitted on the 740 and if it is too big and bogs the machine down and should I just go with the 66. It will be on a quick coupling so getting it through gates is not an issue. Any opinions greatly appreciated
  13. But the hilux will have a far higher resale value than the ford, so you will get a good bit of the extra cost back when you get rid. I have heard that the rangers have a long wait time, struggling to see why tbh.
  14. Just corrected that for you. Sorry but for me ford just don't have the build quality, I will never buy another.
  15. Of all the lovely places in this country why the hell anyone would want to pay £150k for a garden shed to look out over a beach overlooking the north sea is just beyond me
  16. I am totally amazed that's all that trailer weighs, is it alloy ?
  17. Not sure if it's still done but some finance houses will ask for a personal guarantee from limited company directors to cover against this happening to them Edit: beaten to it
  18. Ahh he is one of those people without any scruples, far too many of those about now days sadly imo Certainly not right as far as i'm concerned, having been ripped off by someone who it turned out done that on a regular basis.
  19. Of no use to you now but I sold those bits a few weeks ago, no roof lining though they are getting hard to get a decent s/h one
  20. We had this happen to us for quite a while, couldn't work out why and tried all sorts of different ideas, it wasn't until I mentioned it to my geeky son that he suggested it could be that someone else on my mail server could have been hacked which will blacklist every domain on the email server. In desperation we moved web/email host to one of the very well known ones and have had no problems since.
  21. If the crane weighs in at 275kg why not mount it at the front of the bed, means cutting some bits of the floor out and other bits but that will get you fairly close to legal then when empty boom out and put it towards the back, mount power pack near the back and I doubt you will be that far out (assuming it's a twin axle trailer)? You could mock the setup up before committing to cutting anything about first to test the nose weight.
  22. Got to agree with the man above. You will be forever setting it up to cut properly, a badly set cylinder mower leaves a terrible finish, mowing wet with a cylinder is not the best idea unless it's set up spot on, and unless it's a pretty substantial one any stones that go through it will put it off cut for a while. They are just a whole load of maintenance and not worth considering for that type of work imo.
