  1. Just had the police around. Was woken up by a noise outside, was just about to get out of bed when I noticed someone looking through the window. Darted up and ran to the window to find 2 people running away. Checked the yard and everything seems ok but they had obviously been in as they had opened the side gate. I have noticed a recent upsurge in incidents lately. Just make sure you keep everything well locked up. One of the downsides to living by your yard is you never really relax, and now sitting here ordering more lights and cameras.
  2. take your phone away from talktalk Best thing I ever done years ago, they are beyond crap.
  3. If the other prices are dearer and they come back to you just tell them you are too busy now.
  4. What I meant was if you used adwords you generally get at least one visit a day from the usa adword bot checking the link to your site
  5. Search engines will be some of those and if you use adwords even more so
  6. That's how we had 3 bits of kit stolen, including my digger and trailer, it was the least expected way to get them out of the farm,
  7. I noticed a rise in incidents the last few weeks, a sure sign Christmas is coming. If buying a new trailer especialy Ifor's make sure you are not followed home from the dealers, it's how they knew and tried to get my new one the night it was brought back, and someone local had theirs stolen the night after the dealer delivered it to them, apparently becoming quite common.
  8. Lloyds are very well built bits of kit, would be a shame to see that not working as it should do. I ran a set of Lloyds leda gang mowers for years without any hassle, they were built like tanks.
  9. I only questioned it due to using a minibus, which under similar circumstances requires a CPC. I don't have an issue with vehicle maintenance checks, I have my 3 trucks used for towing inspected independently even though they don't have to be, but due to them towing at full capacity all the time I am happy to have the piece of mind. But from bitter experience I know what VOSA can be like when they want to dig their heels in (I am being really polite there)
  10. Indeed I don't really see what the problem is with tacho's O licences were always our biggest issue when running lorries, and that will get worse with VOSA being self funded imo. Eddie are you sure you wouldn't need a CPC ?, you will be driving for hire and reward at the end of the day, even though it is indirectly.
  11. I would love some but you are a bit too far away.
  12. Shame to hear they still have the same bad customer service. As I have said before, if they don't return calls for a sale what chance have you got if it goes wrong, especially under warranty. Shame, as on paper it appeared the best of the bunch for me.
  13. I do this with one of my customers, they get quite a lot of work from us and this type of thing has happened on quite a few occasions over the years, they always give me my cut regardless of customer going direct to them at a later date or me passing it to them, tbh if they didn't I would be rather offended being as they wouldn't have got the work in the first place. It's work I could do myself but would rather pass it on and take a cut
  14. That probably needs to be put into perspective imo The RBL will receive 50p from every £1 bar sold of Belgian chocolate made in the town of Ypres. Be interesting to see just how much that will amount to, although any amount is good, but can't help feeling that will help soften the critics of the add. Sorry I don't really agree with it and feel it's a very disrespectful marketing ploy.
  15. Looked like an insecure and pain in the backside way of investing to me "Investment through Funding Circle involves lending to small and medium sized businesses, so your investment can go down as well as up."
  16. I know little about tank sizes but that sounds a bit small, that's circulating nearly 3 times a minute and I would think you need to consider the heat of the oil on a small tank. But I stand to be corrected.
  17. Was hunting ebay earlier for something and this one came up in the similar items county tractor
  18. I thought this had been cleared up between ifor and vosa, just because a trailer has a plated weight it doesn't mean you will use it.
  19. They insisted it was getting results, but call counter says from July- sept 2 calls I will now put that money into advertising elsewhere.
  20. They give the add a phone number that goes through to your number and that call is a counted call when someone dials it
  21. We tend to find old people still use yp, for what it costs I will keep it going until they fold. Yell.com for us is a complete waste of money, best thing yell done was put the call counter on it, as it has backfired on them
  22. Are you sure that is correct for the 3500kg, as much as I don't like it my 10x5 ifors payload is 2625kg, I noticed what appears to be quite a few mistakes on the brian james website for the twin and tri axle flatbeds unladen weights.
  23. Do you keep any parts in stock ?
