  1. [quote=scraggs;1235286 We fixed it by replacing the stock springs with 2+ heavy duty terafirma rears and machining the assister spring plates a bit so the assisters could still be fitted, and then putting extended bump stops on, it never gets anywhere near the bump stops now, but is a bloody uncomfortable ride when empty.
  2. I didn't think they made anything suitable for heavy loads Jon. I seem to remember looking at them when I put the terrafirma on as I wanted better quality, I was going to go for these extreme 4x4 ones but they didn't have them made up and I needed them in a hurry.
  3. We had an issue with this when I built my 130 body, if you go for a bit of clearance after they hit the bump stops you end up with a stupidly high body. It sounds like a build issue, even if the springs were buggered it still should have a clearance when bottoming out. 4. I had this with the set of bearmach +2 set I am giving away, but not by as much as 15mm, so put a set of terrafirma 2+ and they fitted a treat. Offer is still up if anyone want's this set of 2+ bearmach heavy duty rears for free.
  5. We have had a compromise, the house will be lit up all night along with the yard nearest the house, and the rest will be left dark. I will use another method instead of pir's to activate the other lights, too many problems with cats setting them off, that and cctv should help me sleep
  6. Phone their tech dept and tell them exactly what you need to do, they have a pretty good knowledge of their stuff. They gave us a setup for sticking and sealing fibreglass sheets to steel and the only way to get them apart was to break them.
  7. haha I just posted that in Jon's tread
  8. My house is on a main road with the yard behind it. Although the street light outside didn't stop the last lot.
  9. Having spent most of the day altering wiring on the house and outbuildings so I can put up more lighting, I wondered what your opinion is on this. My plan was to put all the lights on a photocell so everything comes on as it gets dark and off when it gets light, but my girlfriend seems to think all that will do is just make life easier for intruders to see what they are doing, I can see her point as when the light outside our room comes on it wakes us up, but I think having them on will deter and also if I link it with some alarm sensors at least the whole place will be lit up already when I go outside. What do others think ?
  10. Isoflex may do the job or Aquapol, but not sure if that is still available, another that may do it is Thompsons roof seal. Trouble is with those types of stuff is movement eventually gets the better of them and you have to do it again several times before it works. Stika may also do something, their technical crew normally have something that sticks and seals to anything
  11. I really like that, nice job. You certainly won't see one of those in Ikea

Clarkson is just a huge cock imo , same old same old. I it wasn't for the fact he says something controversial every now and then he would have disappeared years ago.
  13. Since we had the last lot of problems around here during the night I have slept less and less, I now wake up at the slightest noise and just lay in bed for hours with crap going around in my head. I worked out I am getting about 3 hours a night on average and feel shattered.
  14. I assume that is a joke ? Not the wisest of moves with a can of petrol
  15. I will watch this with interest as I am looking for a decent LED torch as well.

  19. I would very much like that some time. When I walked the one we tried to buy locally a few times it was somewhere you could just get away from it all, the wildlife and peace was fantastic, was like another world. It's a very nice opportunity for someone.
