  1. Well after toiling with it for the last few years I want to bite the bullet and buy a mill, I occasionally get the chance to collect the odd butt, and could probably get more but I hate cutting some of them up for firewood. without going on I know it will probably not be financially viable, but I can always use the timber myself around here, and it's just something I want to do. Going through all the choices, I think a lucas or peterson will probably be my best option, however if I could find a decent trailered bandmill I would give it thought. So if anyone has one they are thinking of getting rid of, or know of someone who is send me a PM please.
  2. I have yet to meet a butcher who can supply meat as bad in quality as Tesco.
  3. When ours went pear shaped they put a divert on to one of our mobiles within 2 hours.
  4. Depends if it's registered as a business line, I would imagine it isn't as BT business have deadlines for repair of business lines, the more you pay on line rental the quicker it's fixed, ours is next day at the latest. I am happy to pay the extra for a business line as it can work out expensive when your phone isn't working.
  5. As much as I detest them and don't use them they employ a huge amount of people and I would hate to see those people out of a job.
  6. Home page title needs "home" removing felling/thining has a missing image firewood specials has "Don\\t delay " With mobiles being widely used now for browsing and ordering online I would have thought a responsive design would have been better It looks good though.
  7. If it's a Combi 33kw it should run a shower without any problems at all unless it has a lot of head to get to the shower, but with good pressure that shouldn't be a problem. We had a pumped power shower and changed to a combi boiler, all we had to do was replace the control unit with a non pumped one and alter the pipework, we didn't expect it to be brilliant but it works nearly as good as the pumped system, and that is with a 30kw system. You will need some sort of controller though to keep temp constant.
  8. You do loose about that or more once suspension is beefed up to take it, but for me I mainly use them for towing so that wouldn't bother me, from the vids I have seen I wouldn't say they were undergeared I would love to do it but just don't have the time to take on a project like that. The Toyota would be nice but wouldn't even consider it until spares availability is at a half decent level, available in RHD and at a fair price. I really don't understand why Toyota don't import them here, if they did I would probably be first in line to buy one.
  9. Well if you aren't VAT registered that's over £55k. I would have to be mentally insane to spend that sort of money on a truck that as stated has very little parts backup at best and is a LHD. For that money I would rebuilt a landy on a galvanised chassis and then plant a Cummins 6bt and ZF box in it, now that would be a real truck and parts would be easy to get and still have a lot of change left in my pocket
  10. Has to be BFG's, we run them on the landies and they are worth the extra cost. I have a set of grabber at's on my Ranger but wouldn't recommend them.
  11. I did go through there this morning with the 130 and the crane trailer.
  12. Will have to get some wider wheels and tyres for it, will probably take the winch off and I have an idea for a camping pod in the back under the canopy.

  14. what model is it I have one here that has 3 dud batteries that was going on ebay soon as I have just replaced it with a makita
  15. Have been looking at them recently and read somewhere the actual units are all made in the same factory. I use an MSR windpro gas stove.
  16. I couldn't resist Bought another 300tdi hicap, R reg with 85k miles, it's one of the cleanest rust wise I have seen in a long time. That's 3 now but will probably sell the other older hicap Will post some pics tomorrow
  17. It's rust and there is a lot of it around this year, it will recover.
  18. From previous experience with my log store stacking unseasoned wood tight like in your bags gave me a store of mouldy logs as there wasn't enough air flow getting through in the middle. We now just throw them in anyhow and they are fine as there is more airspace between them.
  19. I have to agree with that, they never returned my calls so certainly wouldn't buy from them if that's the level of their service.
  20. Copilot on android phone for me, have been using it for about the last 3+ years on various samsung galaxy's without any problems. Only pain is if someone calls whilst using it.
  21. Some very good skills and a really nice looking piece.
  22. That one is stratford side just before the flumes, there are several down on that side between there and stratford but that is the only one right across, then the other side of the flumes heading to boxted we came across another small one right across and decided to turn around and head up to dedham, but some friends we met coming down said there were a few that side aswell. Lovely river for a paddle, we have just been doing a small stretch for a few hours each time and slowly making our way up.
