  1. You do loose about that or more once suspension is beefed up to take it, but for me I mainly use them for towing so that wouldn't bother me, from the vids I have seen I wouldn't say they were undergeared I would love to do it but just don't have the time to take on a project like that. The Toyota would be nice but wouldn't even consider it until spares availability is at a half decent level, available in RHD and at a fair price. I really don't understand why Toyota don't import them here, if they did I would probably be first in line to buy one.
  2. Well if you aren't VAT registered that's over £55k. I would have to be mentally insane to spend that sort of money on a truck that as stated has very little parts backup at best and is a LHD. For that money I would rebuilt a landy on a galvanised chassis and then plant a Cummins 6bt and ZF box in it, now that would be a real truck and parts would be easy to get and still have a lot of change left in my pocket
  3. That's just made me feel hungry
  4. Has to be BFG's, we run them on the landies and they are worth the extra cost. I have a set of grabber at's on my Ranger but wouldn't recommend them.
  5. I did go through there this morning with the 130 and the crane trailer.
  6. Will have to get some wider wheels and tyres for it, will probably take the winch off and I have an idea for a camping pod in the back under the canopy.

  9. what model is it I have one here that has 3 dud batteries that was going on ebay soon as I have just replaced it with a makita
  10. Have been looking at them recently and read somewhere the actual units are all made in the same factory. I use an MSR windpro gas stove.
  11. I couldn't resist Bought another 300tdi hicap, R reg with 85k miles, it's one of the cleanest rust wise I have seen in a long time. That's 3 now but will probably sell the other older hicap Will post some pics tomorrow
  12. It's rust and there is a lot of it around this year, it will recover.
  13. From previous experience with my log store stacking unseasoned wood tight like in your bags gave me a store of mouldy logs as there wasn't enough air flow getting through in the middle. We now just throw them in anyhow and they are fine as there is more airspace between them.
  14. I have to agree with that, they never returned my calls so certainly wouldn't buy from them if that's the level of their service.
  15. Copilot on android phone for me, have been using it for about the last 3+ years on various samsung galaxy's without any problems. Only pain is if someone calls whilst using it.
  16. Some very good skills and a really nice looking piece.
  17. I know what I meant
  18. That one is stratford side just before the flumes, there are several down on that side between there and stratford but that is the only one right across, then the other side of the flumes heading to boxted we came across another small one right across and decided to turn around and head up to dedham, but some friends we met coming down said there were a few that side aswell. Lovely river for a paddle, we have just been doing a small stretch for a few hours each time and slowly making our way up.
  19. We have been doing a bit of paddling along the stour in suffolk recently and was wondering the same thing. There are quite a few down along there at the moment.

  21. you actually eat that ? I would bypass the stomach and put it straight down the bog i'm glad i'm a looser looking at that
  22. could be made up fairly easily from a manual one, with a bit of money
  23. That looks like it could be a handy bit of kit, vestil husky is another but it weighs virtually the same as my crane. when I looked into them they were insanely expensive for the electric version
  24. The clangers, Tiswas and the dying fly, rover P6's, simca cars, mott the hoople, my lotus pedal race car. Helping my dads mechanic fit plugs and points to cars for a few pence. Going to dad's wood mill and building things for my brother to test for strength by throwing them off the top of the office stairs. Standing outside the pub with a bottle of coke in bethnal green high street whilst grandad played cards inside. They were very good times to be a child imo
  25. If the bolt is too short then no washers If it is too long use a washer If it's still too long use a washer either side. And if it's still too long use one either side with a spring washer. Simples
