  1. Thanks for the helpful info, Jules (Athrotaxus is new to me - lovely looking thing). The leaves in my first image were slightly bluish (not refelcted in picture) making me think Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard' which, like C. japonica 'Elegans' is not representative of the genus. Planning a return visit for more clues..... (C. pisifera 'Boulevard' attached for reference)
  2. Thanks for your post se7enthdevil. I've attached samples of Cryptomeria japonica which seemed to contrast with the above. I'm aware there can be some variation .... any further thoughts?
  3. Initially thoughts were a variety of Chamaecyparis pisifera, but now not so sure - any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  4. A note on Kramp oil; it's not very viscous. Using a Stihl 261 for limbing/bucking, the oil reservoir empties more quickly than the fuel (vs. say, using Oregon bar oil). This is with the bar oil on full flow.
  5. Thanks. Stacking unseasoned logs was proving a bit tedious anyway!
  6. Hi, I've begun stacking logs in vented bags as oppose to piling them in randomly in an effort to save on space storage space. However I'm unsure if I'm wasting my time doing this - will it hinder air circulation? Any thoughts/comments/advice would be greatly appreciated. [pic attached]
