  1. J, logosol rebrand the norwood range as there own, pretty good mills, but if your just looking for a smallish!!! one for your own use, the woodland 130 is a hard package to beat, basic, simple, and with there own trailer package now available, very portable, and all the consumables are std off the shelf (not maker specific) components
  2. I love all these discussions on BMI, waist sizes, how heavy before your classed as obese, in a word they are all a bunch of bullcrap........muscle mass is way heavier than fat, bone mass, again is heavier, etc, 10 years ago I had an accident which caused me to fracture one of my lower vertebrae, this led to a prolonged period of ltd activity, and yes weight gain, before the accident I was tipping the scales at around the 20stone mark.....acording to the "experts" grossly obese........aye right, 54" chest, 46" waist, 22" upper arms, and regulary up and down the hills we have here in SW scotland, in fact the aussie doctor that treated me said, if it wasnt for my size and muscle, my back would have been broken , and probably spend the rest of my life in a chair, these days Ive lost some of the muscle mass, and the tum is a "bit" bigger, but I'll still challnge any of the young ones to spend a day cutting on the mill with me, just after xmas I ended up in the hospital with a lung infection, and had my weight taken by a nurse, who proceeded to chide me about my size.......this from a person who was as wide as she was tall, and got got upset when I laughed at her.....told her I wasnt overweight, that I was 18" to short..........the majority of the information for these charts, scales, and data tables were taken in the late 40's early 50's when the most of the population ofthe world were recovering from the shortages of the war, and were closer to malnutrition than healthy living
  3. J, I believe the towbar has to be one of the TUV approved ones, know when I bought my LT, it was mentioned in the handbook about a higher tow rating and this was one of the things mentioned
  4. throat mikes are a funny thing to get used to, I tried various ones till I now use the Mitex ones, make sure you get a system that is Vox compatable though, as not all are
  5. there are baofong uhf radios on ebay at around the £20 a set at the moment, combine these with a throat mike headset and vox enabled on the radios, and for around £150-180 plus a licence, you can have a 4 way system, and by using your own combination of ctss and dcn, you can have a secure network on it
  6. just be aware if your using any radio based coms system, unless your using PMR 446 stuff you will require a licence ......£75 for a small business licence, lasts 5 years, for UHF stuff, and your going for a ham ticket for anything else.........UHF is a good option, theres currently 3 frequencies available..(approx 128 usable channels) so you should be able to operate unmolested by other users, and a further 4 frequinces are being released by Offcom on the first of may, so this will bring channel options up to over 380,
  7. beauty of the mog, everything gets out you way.....even JSL's wood lorries....lol
  8. try it round some of the crap thats called roads here in east ayrshire
  9. ignore the tree picture, I screwed up on the upload......I is a donkey.......lol
  10. how about something totaly different, tows everything I put on it, tracks the mog perfectly, rated at 10t and 50mph
  11. when will someone come out and admit the real reason for all the city tree clearances.......the roll out for the new phone service, 5G......although it goes through inanimate substances no problem....living tissue interferes with it, hence the mass tree felling programme, shortly to be followed with the increase in strange cancer hot spots( must be the russians), 5G hasnt been properly tested anywherre, but roll it out in the UK, the sheeple wont care, they can get better conectivity on there shiny new phones
  12. baby oil, cheap stuff from aldi, rubbed and worked well into the black sticky gloop, washes off with plain soap and water, took ages to get the best stuff for geting rid of sitka crap cos I cut and mill tons of the stuff, and some of the barrier cream from arco, the kind designed for ink and paint helps greatly
  13. J, dont dismiss the american side of things, yes, the F250 is big, but you can go chevy 2500, or 3500. both 4x4, both proper 1 ton load and 3500kg tow (actually a lot more, but we're not allowed) or dodge, I am surprised that american pickups havent caught on over here, I have owned 2 chevy 's and the only reason I still dont run one is now I have the mog. the last one was an ex military one, and although basic, it was a proper workhorse, a "real" 4x4, it would go places you would struggle to walk, and pull.......aye buildings down.....as for spares, never was a problem, there is a huge american car following in the uk, and the spares network supports this. fuel economy, ran from low teens offroad working hard, to mid 20's on a run, and although a large vehicle I never found a problem on the road, you very quickly get used to it. and the big bonus....cab space is huge, you can party in the front.....lol...the americans like there space
  14. see if you still feel the same after a few days of black sticky horrible hands from the sap and resin off the sitka
  15. if your going to site your mill on a permanant location, go for the 126 in electric, lower running costs, and a lot quieter, for some reason electric mills always seem to cut quicker than engine driven ones
  16. this is getting quite interesting, notice how everyone refers to the word "drive", how many of you actually know what that means and how it affects you, lets see......
  17. maculloch mac10-10 way way back in the stone age
  18. dont watch live broadcast tv, I dont have time, and as for the bbc..........shit for the sheeple
  19. pay a tv licence= fund the peadophile pension fund
  20. just a wee thought for anyone who thinks that these baliffs are upfront honest citizens, why do they all try there hardest to look like police officers in the way they dress, and the action, and attitude they adopt.........its to intimidate the poor person who doesnt realise they have no power at all........the bit of paper they wave about is about as much use as a bookies line' and before any one comments on my attitude towards them, I hate them, and will go out of my way to educate folk about what they can do to fight back against the crooks and conmen who masqueradeas court officials
  21. matelot......report it to the police......you having a laugh......the majority of balif cons that are shown are civil ones, in which the police have no authority by the way, they can only attend to prevent a breach of the peace(another con), but surprise surprise the police turn up, assist the baliffs in forcing entry(illegal) and side with the baliffs, often arresting the house holder in the process. there are plenty of recorded cases where the police officers have been taken to court and fined heavilly, and others where the householder has actually known the law, used force, evicted the balliffs and pollice and had them charged......but thios doesnt make good tv, and they will never tell you this, also the baliff waves a bit of paper under the camera and calls it a warrant......lies, a warrant must carry the court stamp, and have bothe the name of the signatory, and a wet ink signature......not a bit of paper the baliff has printed out...this is technically fraud, but do the police act on it.........
  22. there is plenty of documented evidence out there, some of it has even made national press.and most of the actions you see these thugs carrying out is actually against the law, they have no power, and are actually operating illegally
  23. thugs of the first order, gloryfied for tv veiwing, most of the twats have records, or are under investigation, and a few of the telly stars...(lol)...are known aqaintances of convicted kiddy fiddlers
  24. and if you want further proof............check up on your own area, how many schools, public buildings, LA's etc are registred as non public ltd companies with the heads of the LA depts listed as directors
  25. an interesting discussion on an interesting subject, now a few home truths.... a councill is the elected officials that are supposed to oversea the running of the area, they are supported in this task by a local authourity (authourity comes from the elected officials, they do not have any of there own) and are not allowed to own property, they can only hold it in trust for the people, so in fact they are proposing to charge the people to use the property they already own. this is becoming a bigger and bigger con, as the population are fed more lies and cons, they actually start and believe what the conmen are telling them, im afraid this country for too many years has steadily gone down hill with more and more politicians, both local and national, lining there own pockets at the expense of the common man, and now, with media support, the lies are getting bgger. and the populus dumber, if the people of liverpool allow this to happen, its the start of them paying for everything they already own, and the idea being spread to the sheeple across the rest of the country.......................nd if you dont believe this, look up the councills act.
