  1. just be aware if your using any radio based coms system, unless your using PMR 446 stuff you will require a licence ......£75 for a small business licence, lasts 5 years, for UHF stuff, and your going for a ham ticket for anything else.........UHF is a good option, theres currently 3 frequencies available..(approx 128 usable channels) so you should be able to operate unmolested by other users, and a further 4 frequinces are being released by Offcom on the first of may, so this will bring channel options up to over 380,
  2. when will someone come out and admit the real reason for all the city tree clearances.......the roll out for the new phone service, 5G......although it goes through inanimate substances no problem....living tissue interferes with it, hence the mass tree felling programme, shortly to be followed with the increase in strange cancer hot spots( must be the russians), 5G hasnt been properly tested anywherre, but roll it out in the UK, the sheeple wont care, they can get better conectivity on there shiny new phones
  3. baby oil, cheap stuff from aldi, rubbed and worked well into the black sticky gloop, washes off with plain soap and water, took ages to get the best stuff for geting rid of sitka crap cos I cut and mill tons of the stuff, and some of the barrier cream from arco, the kind designed for ink and paint helps greatly
  4. see if you still feel the same after a few days of black sticky horrible hands from the sap and resin off the sitka
  5. if your going to site your mill on a permanant location, go for the 126 in electric, lower running costs, and a lot quieter, for some reason electric mills always seem to cut quicker than engine driven ones
  6. this is getting quite interesting, notice how everyone refers to the word "drive", how many of you actually know what that means and how it affects you, lets see......
  7. maculloch mac10-10 way way back in the stone age
  8. dont watch live broadcast tv, I dont have time, and as for the bbc..........shit for the sheeple
  9. pay a tv licence= fund the peadophile pension fund
  10. just a wee thought for anyone who thinks that these baliffs are upfront honest citizens, why do they all try there hardest to look like police officers in the way they dress, and the action, and attitude they adopt.........its to intimidate the poor person who doesnt realise they have no power at all........the bit of paper they wave about is about as much use as a bookies line' and before any one comments on my attitude towards them, I hate them, and will go out of my way to educate folk about what they can do to fight back against the crooks and conmen who masqueradeas court officials
  11. matelot......report it to the police......you having a laugh......the majority of balif cons that are shown are civil ones, in which the police have no authority by the way, they can only attend to prevent a breach of the peace(another con), but surprise surprise the police turn up, assist the baliffs in forcing entry(illegal) and side with the baliffs, often arresting the house holder in the process. there are plenty of recorded cases where the police officers have been taken to court and fined heavilly, and others where the householder has actually known the law, used force, evicted the balliffs and pollice and had them charged......but thios doesnt make good tv, and they will never tell you this, also the baliff waves a bit of paper under the camera and calls it a warrant......lies, a warrant must carry the court stamp, and have bothe the name of the signatory, and a wet ink signature......not a bit of paper the baliff has printed out...this is technically fraud, but do the police act on it.........
  12. there is plenty of documented evidence out there, some of it has even made national press.and most of the actions you see these thugs carrying out is actually against the law, they have no power, and are actually operating illegally
  13. thugs of the first order, gloryfied for tv veiwing, most of the twats have records, or are under investigation, and a few of the telly stars...(lol)...are known aqaintances of convicted kiddy fiddlers
  14. and if you want further proof............check up on your own area, how many schools, public buildings, LA's etc are registred as non public ltd companies with the heads of the LA depts listed as directors
  15. an interesting discussion on an interesting subject, now a few home truths.... a councill is the elected officials that are supposed to oversea the running of the area, they are supported in this task by a local authourity (authourity comes from the elected officials, they do not have any of there own) and are not allowed to own property, they can only hold it in trust for the people, so in fact they are proposing to charge the people to use the property they already own. this is becoming a bigger and bigger con, as the population are fed more lies and cons, they actually start and believe what the conmen are telling them, im afraid this country for too many years has steadily gone down hill with more and more politicians, both local and national, lining there own pockets at the expense of the common man, and now, with media support, the lies are getting bgger. and the populus dumber, if the people of liverpool allow this to happen, its the start of them paying for everything they already own, and the idea being spread to the sheeple across the rest of the country.......................nd if you dont believe this, look up the councills act.
  16. I run an m7 with various lengths of bar, 18", 20", 25", and 36" depending on whatever Im cutting, most of the logosol work is large slab so the different bars, the m7/m8 carrier will make a big difference but you must pay close attention to the wear in the plastic guides, alittle wear will result in rather a lot of movement at the end of a long bar ( i have been know to cheat and hold the end of the bar up with a stick just as the cut starts, once in the timber, no problems) the one thing I will say though, no matter how good your hand sharpening is, get an electric bench machine ( a cheapy from lidl works just fine after a few tweeks) as the equality of cutters makes the biggest difference to cutting
  17. 54gka, the nut on the bottom of the lifting beams doesnt square them up, it only adjusts the position relative to the measurement, your only angle adjustment is in the top rail, you do this by the use of your twisting aticks and eye, a bit of wood exactly 2" thick is then used to set up the lifting beams to the bar, it takes me between 15 to 30 minutes every ttime I move my mill to a new site ( after a near complete strip so it fits in my van) also your ground needs to be near level as you can get, or the feet shimmed to suit
  18. why a 25" bar on a farmers mill, unless you plan on doing some big stuff, may I sugest you move down to a 20" bar. give rob at chainsawbars.co.uk a mail and get a gb bars solid milling bar (logosol bars are now oregon, and are terrible). it takes a bit of time to set the top rail and lifting bars exactly parallel and the bar level to them, but intial time spent is worth it
  19. yes, your dolmar will fit, the cradle has slots and holes to accomadate options, have fun using it, everything doesnt have to be stihl or husky and yes, the board finish can be superb, its all down to the sharpening, and getting every tooth identical
  20. the ones that run the forrest school training courses for the teachers and those in education have a tie in with those selling the overpriced logs.....they are what they recomend for the schools to buy......an easy con , inexperienced and gullable freshly exposed to a group of individualls out to make a quick buck
  21. to get a realistic idea about power requirments, logk at logosols electric saw. they start at 5kw, and 3phase at that you would be better looking at a bandsaw setup
  22. 1st question to ask.......what are the flow requirements and working pressure of the hiab.....then start from there
  23. update to my question, here is a pdf detailing the differences........... mill differences.pdf
  24. does anyone know what the differences between the early, 2015-2016 mills to the 2017 mill, apart from the galvanised rails, as ive been informed the new trailer wont fit the early mills
  25. hi james, get a solid gb bar for milling, solves all your droop problems, and if you are getting a lot of large dia stuff, turn the mill upside down, ........mount the mill to the log.....details on the logosol us site, there is a logosol handbook about it
