  1. Well that bit of info clears things right up. Just contact your local foundary with the dimensions and I bet you can even get it delivered:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  2. Just wondering if your actually responsible for a man hole cover in the first place?. I would think that be the the local utilities obligation to fix or replace?. easy-lift guy
  3. Take a power hedger to it and bag the debries. Digging out with a Square Spade will make quick work of it. I have personally removed the same material four times the size with no problem. Just make sure there are no underground utilities in advance of any digging. easy-lift guy
  4. Looks like pine borer damage. Likens attached to the branches, are the branches with the likens facing the north?. Pine borers can over time kill a tree. Depending on the age of the trees I would not be surprise. Look for many tiny holes up and down the bark. The more you see the more borer activity present. easy-lift guy
  5. Sandblast and powder coat. You may only have to do this one last time, however I suspect the customer will not be disappointed, you may well have more work from his friends and neighbors for your effort. Success breeds success! easy-lift guy
  6. Happy Birthday Jon, Many happy returns! All the best. Ted
  7. Under no circumstances accept the verbal word of a customer or governmental agency. Cover your back side with paper and if you want the job that much contact the Council with the facts and wait for final word, in writing from whom ever is in charge. Make sure terms are clear for payment since this seems to be an issue I have seen hundreds of times on this site. easy-lift guy
  8. Concentrate on building your brand. Creating a separate name will take away from your brand building. I spent 23 years building brand recognition for another product I manufacture and sell. That same product is pretty much available anywhere in the world there are golf courses. That's a life time branding plan. Adjust your plan accordingly and provide top notch service and you will continue to write your own ticket. easy-lift guy
  9. Various acids and other chemicals. Birds can't help it, car owners can purchase covers. easy-lift guy
  10. Would that occurred before or after the FBI arrives on scene Take care. easy-lift guy
  11. Once any contractor allows the customer to work on the job site control is lost. Don't loose control in the first place. Make your rules crystal clear and if your customer refuses to obey than take one break and explain for the last time where your customer must remain until the all clear is sounded. Otherwise pack up your gear and work for someone else. easy-lift guy
  12. If the OP is not licensed and insured to apply pesticides in the lawn, beds, trees or shrubs he should secure a company that is. Home owners really do enough damage to their properties and professional reputations of PCO's here in the states with out adding insult to injury and liability. easy-lift guy
  13. With in reason the more you can increase your skill set the more you can increase your ability to earn more. If you can start out offering a sub contracting service for larger firms or councils you may quickly discover you have more work that you can handle. Another good problem to have. easy-lift guy
  14. This point is really the most important matter for the OP to consider. The consequences from possibly choosing to go penny wise and pound cheap may be more than anyone can bargain for. easy-lift guy
  15. Use a respirator for all future work. Problem from either suspected cause, solved!. easy-lift guy
  16. When technology and perceived need is more important than common manors or consideration the results speak for them selfs. Just wait a while longer for a collapse of the Internet. These same people will have a reality check that most will not be able to comprehend or cope with easy-lift guy
  17. Reducing the number of claims is key to keeping ones rates as low as possible. Having multiple claims will not only keep your rates high, it will in time give the carrier the right to cancel coverage all together. Sadly a catch 22. Dean, I hope you get your coverage sorted. easy-lift guy
  18. Thanks Tom, Just finished the series and I can say it made my afternoon. easy-lift guy
  19. Free Tree removal. No formal request for knowledge of how to remove said trees, no mention of insurance requirements as well for any party concerned. What could possibly go wrong?. easy-lift guy
  20. Sadly people in this part of the world seemingly can not get enough of this crap day in and day out. And yes as another member has stated reality tv is fake, however I will take exception to professional wrestling. I once had an American History teacher in the 9th grade take exception to my conversations with my buddy during her lectures. It seems that we were on thin ice and the resentment between us was growing by the day than during one of my verbal sparring matches with the teacher somehow the conversation turned to Professional Wrestling from Florida, with the likes of Gordon Soley who hosted dozens of wrestlers who were to become in future years named celebrities. Seems that the teacher was not only a fan of professional wrestling I for reasons I was not aware of at the time volunteered to have my fellow class mate performe the figure four leg lock. This wrestling hold is not only not fake, if given enough time and torque can break your apponents leg if given the chance. Well after about 2 minutes and to the delight of the class the teacher Mrs. Brower called for a break and saved my leg from a trip to the hospital. Although we never got the chance to demonstrate any other wrestling holds we finally had something in common with our teacher and ended the school year on good terms and grades as well. easy-lift guy
  21. Curious about the cost, average life per box? easy-lift guy
  22. Here in the states I receive similar companies contact me usually by mail. At least the companies that have contacted me seem real enough, however if you reply you may discover that they are not only fishing for information they may very well want you to finance the sale or interest in your business to another party. Unless your ready to play banker and allow someone or another company to secure your business or a controlling interest in your business affairs just avoid these companies. easy-lift guy
  23. Nice video, music was good, however the length of the video should be reduced to any where from 2;30 to 3 minutes, maximum. Attention span starts to wonder for most after this amount of time. I believe you could use an ELH as well. You have already discovered the Arb Trolly, nice product placement BTW. Thanks for sharing All the best easy-lift guy
  24. While waiting to call the land down under I have time to chat or anyone else can as well. easy-lift guy
  25. I think your saying the OP has no common sense. I did not. Try not to be so hard on yourself about not giving credit where where credit is due. Having a soil sample collected and tested rules out any doubt about weather the ph is to high or low. Once this has been completed a more reliable means of creating a lawn maintenance program is what my customers have relied on for years. It just works better here in my part of the world since we do not have soil per say, just sand and lots of it so the need to amend with the correct chemicals in the first place is a must. Anyone can and will apply many different chemicals and soil amendments to help create a better lawn from a growth and appearance standpoint. The cost of a soil test is $25.00 USD and I have never had a failure by taking the time to not second guess my customers lawn needs. No chemistry set required since I have people do that for me. I sure would like to see some before and after pictures of the lawn from the OP. Just on a side note what is the percentage of iron in the lawn sand you speak of and what is the most common means of applying this material?. Cyclone spreader or drop spreader? easy-lift guy
