  1. Sorry Porky, Where did you buy your ELH from?. I believe Overton UK should have spares. If not PM me and I shall have the matter taken care of Pronto!. Thanks for the kind remarks about the use of the ELH, HOWEVER Please do not use the ELH from a ladder. It is only designed to be used from the ground, a level platform, or a bucket. I await your pm. Have a great weekend. easy-lift guy
  2. We had a better one than that a few years back and it actually had a chainsaw chain on a round bar., believe it was called a beaver?, any way it seems to have had a nasty habit of breaking and flying off at a high rate of speed, not good on the receiving end! easy-lift guy.
  3. Greeting's Fellow members of ArbTalk. Due to the strong response and interest surrounding the Easy-Lift Harness, for the Month of October a 10% discount of the normal retail price has been authorized by yours truly as a token of my appreciation for the members of ArbTalk. For futher details contact overton-uk.co.uk . This offer is for ArbTalk members only for the month of October 2011. Tell overton you read and saw this notice on ArbTalk. All the best. easy-lift guy
  4. Thanks for providing your location. You sound like you have a well rounded arsenal of implements that you use on a daily basis. I agree that working with any of the implements mentioned in conjunction without a harness of any kind much less with out the ELH is working far to hard for your daily bread. I have tried on the unit that you have purchased and even though I may have a slight bias towards and for the ELH I am also a practical end user and from that standpoint alone love my competition for selfish reasons only. That being said I am a bit confused about the price you quoted for the ELH of $700.00?. I have never heard of such a price, and I am pretty sure with the current exchange rate of $1.31 NZ, Dollar to the American Dollar your cost would not be that high even after duty/tariffs esp if you buy direct from the factory. Your suggestion about making a simpler more static version has actually never been suggested or considered since the ELH is primarily for the commercial end user. Since the masses from a marketing stand point are not my target market I would and prefer to place into the hands of an informed consumer that can and will appreciate the ELH for what it is instead of having someone buying something else wondering how much more productive I could have been with an ELH. IMO The Honda motor cycle company is an interesting story except one has to understand that just after WW II Japan was trying to make and sell any thing and to start out selling Motor cycles to the American public was not only impractical but really not well received. Honda Started out with scooters since they knew there core market could and would purchase said units. I believe the same holds true for the ELH and the future evolution of the product line. Again Thanks for your interest in the ELH. All the best. easy-lift guy
  5. I would suggest Overton uk.co They are my Distributors for the UK and I shall be running a October special discount for the ELH for ArbTalk members only. More details to follow. easy-lift guy
  6. This really seems retarded to me. Why would having to hire someone full time to handel calls and paper work have any thing to do with serving you as a customer. Is this company in the business of disservice? I would think they would have their own insurance available for such a situation, why they do not or don't want to be bothered is a real pitty. Sorry this reply is not of more assistance. Keep at it you will over come, as have most in this business. easy-lift guy.
  7. Timbermcherson, thanks for that up date. When you are ready to up grade to a actual harness that will lift all of the weight of the implement and evenly distribute said weight thruout the back pack frame let me know, Are you based in the UK or Australia? Have a great weekend. easy-lift guy
  8. Interesting removal. Felt sorry for his hand saw, thought for sure it was going to bend and break. easy-lift guy.
  9. Looks like a job for the ELH with the optional jet pack and extended power hedger, available in 2012. Kinda of kidding. All kidding aside how is something that large really maintained? easy-lift guy
  10. As a professional you can only explain to the client so much and than the final decision depends on their judgement. "Some customers like trees require more training than others" easy-lift guy
  11. I have heard similar stories here in the states. Was considering RC surgery myself a few years back but the doctor told me it could affect my night vision. Glasses/contacts for me for now. Rover I will be expecting pictures of your new eye wear regardless of your choice! easy-lift guy
  12. Your budget and comfort level must be as one. Don't rush into making a decision it will be your bread/butter for some time to come. easy-lift guy
  13. Def. a sun dew, parasitic relationship between the fungus/bug as well. easy-lift guy
  14. Maybe she hit a nail or screw? easy-lift guy
  15. A tea spoon of dishwashing liquid per gal of mix material also go's a long way as well. Makes for a cheap spreader sticker, you did not hear that from me since Round-up wants you to buy more product. easy-lift guy
  16. Good question about peripheral vision. I believe if you have good PV now you will have it with contacts as well. Clean hands are important only becuse of all the nasty things we come in contact on a daily basis and even more while working with trees. Yes you can blink fast and your lens can pop out in a pinch. My biggest concern is any damage to the cornea due to material flying about. I look forward to your new "saw goggles". easy-lift guy
  17. With contact lenses the need to remove and install at any time for any reason really makes a difference with clean hands. I believe robbo 110 is spot on with regards to working with a ski type goggle in conjunction with lenses. The key is to keep your lenses clean and well moistened before during and after insertion. Most new lenses are disposable to one degree or another, find a brand that meets your budget and comfort level. Who knows you may create a fasion trend with your new saw goggles and be styling at the same time. All the best. easy-lift guy
  18. Rover, I wear both. Sounds like you will need to find a stout pair of glasses and get use to wearing them, lenses can be used while out doors and in the type of industry we are in you will still need some sort of safty glasses or goggles when wearing your lenses. The need for having clean hands most of the time will also help make up your mind about having lenses as well, more upkeep with lenses as opposed to glasses. I wish you the best. easy-lift guy
  19. No problem, have a great weekend.

    ELG

  20. I agree with Steve on this one I think that the franchise train left sometime ago and it would really be tough to enforce any kind of exclusive rights you may or may not have been offered. Congrats on that number of stumps, it was a steller achievment IMO! easy-lift guy
  21. Timbermcferson let me know how your investment works out for you. Perkins, I can't wait to see what you create, sam66s your post say's it all. easy-lift guy
  22. Oldmilltrees Save your money for a ELH. I love my competition for selfish reasons. The harness you are referring to will transfer the weight of a pole saw to your hips while at the same time pull the operator forward. I have tried this product on and had it attached to a power pole saw, I like the ELH better.. I did not try it with a extended power hedger since the first experience was enough. The ELH will in fact lift up to 100% of the implements weight and transfer that energy through out the back back frame work. The product you mentioned is cheaper, and as the saying go's "you get what you pay for". Good Shopping. easy-lift guy
  23. Thanks Garath. I am not sure about the concentration for Round-up in the UK I believe last I bought some it was 41% here in the states. Contact Stuart @ Overton UK I believe they would be willing to let you try a unit out. Have a great weekend. easy-lift guy
  24. Pitty the poor tree has the nerve to grow in the way of public health/safety. I to am curious about the truth being out soon. I believe stumpgrinder has a good point. easy-lift guy
