  1. The trolley is great but the drinks cabinet is utter genius! That's the best use of €399 (that I'm struggling not to spend!) Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  2. Upgrading will only cost you more today. If you try the cheap alternative, my experience shows it will only cost a lot more in the long run. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  3. Is it Chris Ghyll's last chipper? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  4. I use Horace Fuller in Horsham & Redhill for Echo stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  5. Weather is excellent Jon. I am in Greece though. Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  6. That's what I'm thinking! He should start UK Chopper and call the Discovery Channel. Make millions floating around in a climate controlled work shop. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  7. Oh don't worry, he's being a wuss with this little bug he's caught. Man flu doesn't exist and is a phrase invented by women to make us look bad. Lol 😂 If you're able to get from bed to toilet, you're able to work (IMO). Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  8. I think you've nailed it except DRT which I think should be: DRT; SRWP or DdRT with two ropes/systems. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  9. Top tips. 👍 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  10. Pretty good actually because the tree is typical, full of decay pockets and it has houses close by. It genuinely was that tall cos I measured it and I was surprised! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  11. I think it's ok but i'm not a Wrench user. It's at that angle because of the tether you have. One of Adam Bourne's tethers would keep it all in line. Don't start spending loads of money on gear no though just cos we say it's good. I say a HAAS is brilliant but you may grow to love the hand ascender/foot loop. I say (& most agree) that the Hitch Hiker is better but it may not be for you. See what I'm saying. The more you climb with what you've got, the more feel you'll get for what you like and what you know you'll like more.
  12. Well done Charles. I can't help with the hitch slipping as I use a Hitch Hiker. Leave enough tail so you can get to the ground from the branch tips. Dispose of the empty hand ascender. It will bother you when you need to coordinate both feet and hands. A HAAS is a more efficient alternative to hand ascender & footloop. Scroll down and you'll see a thread all about it. Don't carry 30 things into the tree with you. You don't even need redirect strops, just clove hitch your rope onto the branch as a redirect. Things I take: Pantin. HAAS. Lyon sling as chest harness with snap gate biner. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  13. I meant no friction and great redirects but I think you know that anyway. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  14. I'm also close. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  15. You have all you need but a HAAS would be of benefit. It just makes the ascent easier, faster and means you don't need a hand ascender. Stick with it no matter how much you may hate it at first. I loved it straight away but found it really hard work for the first three climbs. The thing I like most about it is no friction and redirects. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  16. I should clarify that my reason for this is that I prefer 11.7mm as it's easier to grip. It's not a safety thing. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  17. Skyland Equipment sell it for £1.30 per metre. I wouldn't want use 11mm though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  18. The new release date is 29th September. I assume this year but we'll see. Lol. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  19. Please can you do us all a favour and start a thread about it when you start using the saw. That will be very useful to everyone that's interested. It's better to have a dedicated thread raising points of interest rather than a slanging match. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  20. Do they last though? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  21. That looks like a good van Al. Can you find out what the payload is because that separated tool box combo adds weight.
  22. So which rope do you prefer with the Hitch Hiker?
  23. Ah yes, now you mention that I can think of many other applications in other sports. Thank.
  24. What happened to your Daily? Sorry but I know nothing of the Maxity Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  25. Surely the dye can't make a difference. It must be made from a different material that has different characteristics. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
