  1. I've never looked into the finances of a vehicle like this because I scaled up to a Unimog, then back to a Transit. What sort of money does one need to spend to get a decent condition lorry like that, flat bed or tipper, without crane? Thanks.
  2. Shame they didn't save the consultants fee and give it to you as a pay rise. Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  3. Wow! I didn't know they were so cheap to run. (I've never looked into it). I guess the problem for many people is finding staff to drive it. Is yours a 7.5t or bigger Peter?
  4. That's good to hear Ian. Years ago I had a dreadful chipper with a hopper as wide as a toaster. It was even worse than a 6" Timberwolf! Therefore I obsess about hopper width in the same way that I obsess about the ice cubes melting in my drink.
  5. Excellent! Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  6. Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about the small dreadful hopper. I agree that if the 8" is good and wide it will be an absolute winner. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  7. I haven't spoken to Redwood, I just meant that when the time comes the 8" Forst will probably be top of the list. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  8. 2007 and about 1250 hours. Are you about to make me a fantastic offer?
  9. You are very wrong. 6.5% of workforce in the construction industry work. The rest stand around watching or shuffle slowly from one tea break to the next!
  10. Ah-ha! Now we know what you're working on next! Can't wait to see it. Lol! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  11. A net over the chip box is your best and easiest solution. The air can pass out through it but the leaves stay inside. It's also the lightest solution. A solid cover, even a tarpaulin, reduces your payload. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  12. I think Orangeplant have a Cannock depot. Is that near you? Or try Stumpbusters, take a cut and still earn while on another job. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  13. You're right. I posted on this one and the thread disappeared. So I posted on the other thread and this one reappeared. Strange. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  14. I didn't realise Cougar Blue was good for SRT. I thought it was just the favourite for Spiderjack DdRT work. It may go on the list. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  15. So I thought it may be good to update this thread as I'll have to get a longer rope soon to use with my Hitch Hiker. So what is now the favoured rope for SRWP? Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  16. I'm sorry but I think the photo is outrageously irresponsible. The lad isn't wearing a Hi-Vis vest so how can it possibly be safe?! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  17. I forgot to mention it would be good if they are comfy with spikes but not essential. I could keep Airstreams for dismantles.
  18. I'm not sure if want to tow that 18" on the single axle. I'm surprised it's not on a twin axle. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  19. I've had three pairs of Airstreams and am happy to buy more. However, I wondered about a pair of dedicated climbing boots because I know plenty of people wear them. My criteria are: waterproof, last the right amount of time. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  20. Which area of Kent are you in? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  21. Good advice. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  22. You forgot: 4wd MEWP behind the cab PTO shaft 450 bhp. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  23. Apparently we're in for the hottest weather that the country has ever seen, ever. Since the beginning of time, ever ever! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
