  1. The Sidewinder doesn't come with a hitch device so that you can choose a Positioner or Cinch etc. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  2. Thanks. It's just a skilled person I need to get the job done quickly. I can do it all myself but I'm embarrassingly slow so I need to labour for a good person. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  3. Any body out there?
  4. Yes yes! I also mentioned this after I saw a photo of the trailer Greenmech made for their tracked machine. That would make a tracked machine the perfect combo for a domestic Arb firm, IMO.
  5. It's not the tree that brings out the worst. Those people are bad to begin with. 😂 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  6. A Sidewinder is the solution to the annoying trailing lanyard. 👍 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  7. Apparently so but they are smart and organised whilst we are dumb and about to be crushed by the Chinese. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  8. That's what I'm doing too but it does interest me because it could actually work well if waste disposal is realistic. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  9. Burning never hurt no one! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  10. Go to the Search icon and type in Husky battery. You'll find loads of threads on these tools. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  11. Yes I know Dan and they are all valid but I live in urban/leafy Surrey so finding homes for these big blocks every week could be tricky, or impossible. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  12. Sorry if this is the wrong forum but I need someone experienced in laying patios. It's a very easy one during the second week of September in Merstham, Surrey, RH1. Please pm me or call 07834 414271 and let me know your day rate. I need the extra person so that we can complete the job in a timely manner. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  13. My experience is of a Timberwolf shredder. I saw saw builders feeding long branches in to. It was about 3pm and they'd been using it all day. They had not folded the hopper down! Hahaha! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  14. Yep and I just put ear plugs in for really noisy stuff ie: lots of chipping or using my saw with the modded exhaust.
  15. Hey, I'm not an Old Man! I just feel old.
  16. Has anyone got any of these boots? I'm only interested if they are waterproof. Thanks http://www.treekit.com/clothing/climbing-boots.html
  17. Has anyone seen or used these? Are they just a gimmick and how do they attach? Any glasses that don't have legs going inside the ear muffs are a good idea. Protos Integrated Safety Glasses
  18. So that was a poor response to this thread. Any more opinions? Thanks.
  19. Well, try and get a job first and then add to your training and qualis as you go. It's all open to you.
  20. I guess the full sized lorry like they had could be a pain to load but the smaller lorries would be dead easy and could get into most driveways. Dispenses with the chipper which is appealing. The only problem I can foresee is: What the hell do you do with a massive block of compressed trees??
  21. That looks good too and a but like a Rope Runner. How does it compare to the OAR?
  22. No, another solution presented itself so I didn't need to buy one, luckily. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  23. M&L used to have one and I used to have a freelancer who worked for them then. He reckoned it was great and the only draw back was the height to lift everything into the back. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  24. What is your motivation for gaining these certs? Are you a gardener, home owner with woodland, taking a career into Arb etc.....? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
  25. It doesn't matter how you make the vehicle look. When you're overloaded, you're overloaded. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk mobile app.
