  1. You've grown out into pairs in under a year! What are you, 12?? 😂😂
  2. If you have relevant certificates and some real experience working as part of a tree team then please call. We mostly deal with domestic work which means lots of variety and no hassle from irate motorists. A clean drivers license is an advantage but not essential. I am based in Horley and most of our work is in the Reigate area. Salary is dictated by your abilities. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks Al 07834 414271 [email protected]
  3. I want one for my t540xp and MS200. 😂😂😂
  4. Those kind of jobs are easily done in two steps. Step 1. Sub the job out to Aspenarb and he'll do it with a suitable machine and nobody gets scratched. Step 2. Invoice the client.
  5. I hope you didn't get too muddy climbing out of that Al!
  6. £35 for a chainsaw strop!! That's £10 more than a bottle of Nemiroff Lex vodka!
  7. Excellent ! Lol!
  8. So gross! 😷😷 😂😂
  9. My 7yr old is even more into bikes than all of you. I had hoped that if his first go was above a properly noisy Termig exhaust he'd be put off for life. No such luck. My wife went ballistic! Lol!
  10. Very congested and therefore a pain in the butt to get your Pantin in and make progress.
  11. I use DRT on very small trees sometimes and almost all Yew trees. Otherwise it's Stationary Rope all the way.
  12. That's a very interesting article whether you work on DRT or SRT. I'm rethinking.
  13. Stick with it. Some people crack it in a week, with others it takes longer. I think the longer you've been on DRT, the longer the conversion will take.
  14. IME the gear head on the Echo is not quite tough enough when using the hedge cutter and cutting thicker stuff. (I'm sure it's fine for gardeners who only trim not quite enough off though.) Anyway, it should be tough enough for the chainsaw attachment.
  15. Good idea Al. I'll do that if you say I must. Today's job:
  16. Thanks again for getting there at such short notice Bob. The client is very happy with the result as they now accept that their idea of hand cutting and chipping would have left undesirable mess and stumps. Perfect.
  17. The redirect using a fig8 descender (that colemanjesse mentioned) is great. It's not a revelation of course but it's a very good way of distributing loads in a safe manner.
  18. Call the supplier and request a third party shut down. Easy.
  19. They're no different to a stump grinder head on a mini digger in terms of performance. Frustratingly slow. If you have access for the Avant then you have access for a big grinder which will do the same job in 1/8th of the time. You don't need to buy a big grinder, hire one or call Stunpbusters (or similar).
  20. Actually I usually use a *clove hitch! Clive doesn't enjoy being hitched all the time. Lol!
  21. That's a very good idea. I mostly take a big bight of rope and Clive hitch it onto the branch to create a static redirect.
  22. I had to remove a dead branch from a very tall Pine today. It was the lowest branch and at about 80ft up. BigShot in & base anchor. Walk up the rope. Cut the branch and get down. In and out in 45 minutes without breaking a sweat. £190+vat. Try doing that with a Prussik and ladder, without spikes!
  23. Oi, aren't you meant to be back at work earning to pay for your next holiday, not messaging with a load of tossers on here!!
