  1. Problem there is that you used a grinder that is under powered for its size and difficult to manoeuvre.
  2. Does anyone have any experience with this harness? Courant - Koala Harness M/L - New Products
  3. That's rough Bob. My friend had a similar experience with top quality motorbike tyres. He'd only had them on for half a day and they needed to be replaced at Brands Hatch! Hahaha!
  4. Yea but a long cattle whip is much better as you can reach them from the clients patio chair, whilst drinking tea. Brilliant.
  5. Yes but you have to waste money on duct tape to secure the flipflops so they don't fall off when running back from the chipper! 😄
  6. Yes but one has to accept a bit of kit damage when one runs over staff for being lazy!
  7. Good ventilation of the groundcrew's helmets, so that they can keep working fast, is far important than their safety. 😂😂
  8. Or for better ventilation drill 40mm holes all over and the air will stream through! However, I'd buy a Protos helmet.
  9. What Nepia said.
  10. Working on a stationary rope won't save you any time on a tree like that but once you're technique is licked it would save you effort.
  11. Can I use an Echo 2510 for that? Hahaha!
  12. Why is this one not useful Mick? I'm just curious. Thanks Al.
  13. Circumference at chest height is 407cm. The thick limb and stem sections above the photo can be left for you too if you want them. Tell me what lengths.
  14. I have an Oak trunk just south of Reigate, Surrey. Access is ok for a rigid lorry with Hiab. It's about 19ft tall, 3.5ft diameter and I expect it to be in good condition internally. It is free for collection so please call me on 07834 414271 or PM me. It needs to be gone within two weeks of felling. Thanks Al.
  15. On June the 7th I'll have an Oak trunk just south of Reigate, Surrey. It's about 19ft tall, 3.5ft diameter. I expect it to be in good condition internally. Access is ok for a rigid lorry with Hiab. If you'd like it please call me on 07834 414271 or PM me. Thanks Al.
  16. The engine is probably missing! Hahaha!
  17. Hahaha! I'll video the speed test if it shows a difference.
  18. Thanks joe, you sad boffin! Haha! I have a freelancer who has a 2510 with the Stihl bar and chain so next time he's in we'll do a speed test comparison.
  19. So is the general consensus that this Tsumara bar is no good and should be swapped for the Stihl? If so, why is that?
  20. Yes. To send you my t540xp as soon as you've made me an offer! Lol!
  21. Of course, now that I've bought the Echo, my t540xp is surplus so if anyone wants it its 2yrs old but was only used as a back up to my MS200t.
  22. Thanks Rob D.
  23. I've never heard of Tsumara bars. What's the difference?
  24. Just still with the boots you've got. Climbing boots won't make you a good climber as you'll have much bigger issues to deal with, like learning to use the gear safely and climb a tree.
  25.

    <p>HI William</p>

<p>The throttle and choke cables need to be lubricated otherwise they start sticking inside the sheath. I use WD40 sprayed into the top end and work the levers a bit to make the WD40 travel down. I cut two holes in the yellow metal cover to facilitate this otherwise it's a hassle having to unbolt the cover every time.</p>

<p>However, I should also add that I store mine in a shipping container which can be very damp at times so that probably doesn't help.</p>

<p>Also, mine is the earlier 450 and I think the current models have better levers and cables.</p>

<p>Great machine and I wouldn't change it, despite once saying I wish I'd got the HB20 instead. The P450 or 460 is a great small machine to compliment the Carlton 7015trx or similar.</p>
