  1. It sounds as though you didn't buy it from a Husky dealer but a tool shop. In which case it may be an old one. Check the serial number plate and this will reveal the year it was built. If it's an old one it may have the electronic gremlins that can never be solved. I have one of these and about every 18mths it needs to go into the dealer to be plugged in and reset. Then it runs sweet as a nut. BTW, I only bought mine as a backup and don't use it any more so if anyone wants to buy it just make me an offer. Anyway, hope that helps.
  2. Well done! Congrats.
  3. A loop to short clip it to the harness, like the Husky t540xp. Better stop/start switch, like the Husky. I've had five Echo tools so far and they are all better than their competitors models!
  4. I attached mine to the front of the vent using Sugru. Remove the adhesive from the mounting bracket first. One of my climbers cut a strip out of the middle of the adhesive and stuck it to the vent on top. Both work well and haven't fallen off.
  5. Hahaha! Sad but true. Sadly. 😂😂
  6. Priceless! 😂😂 I bet that person doesn't feel so smart anymore. 😂😂😂
  7. Yes this is customer service that I've never seen from the two 'big brands'. Bravo Echo!
  8. Forget St Johns courses and contact Arbaid as they run Arb specific courses.
  9. Yes, apparently if debris gets lodge around the muffler it creates a potential fire risk. I guess this must have happened to someone but surely it's a one in a million chance!
  10. My dealer just called to tell me I must stop using my 2510. I don't know if it's a safety reason or something less sinister. Not looking forward to using my MS200 again. Lol! Maybe he saw me up a tree and thought I looked incompetent! 😂😂😂
  11. You know when something really scary happens up a tree, catches you by surprise and a little nugget sneaks out the back door. One must then jiggles ones knee so that it tumbles down inside the trouser leg and exits smoothly. (Ineffective if wearing spikes)
  12. Yes I've found the 2510 to be REALLY hot on my leg even when it's switched off. I have to keep jiggling my knee to stop the feeling of being burnt!
  13. Fair enough. Forget the Stihl 150, it's a joke compared to the 2510. BTW I have a little used t540xp that I'll sell for any sensible offer.
  14. I'd just get one from Rob D anyway. Then when they work out the problems yours will be retrofitted. I did a big Oak reduction last week and a big dismantle today and there is a very noticeable huge difference in fatigue levels when using the 2510.
  15. Damn it! Now wish I hadn't bought one two weeks ago! Hahahah! Do you mean 2 chains and 1 bar? Also, what are these GB bars? They don't look like the Sugihara carving bar that everyone raves about. 😐
  16. Thanks Al It appears that the Bluetooth unit is not available separately. Only everything else. Annoying as one of my freelancers has the kit on his Protos but not the Bluetooth unit. I want to buy three complete sets and one extra Bluetooth/battery thingy!
  17. Does anyone know the price of a battery/bluetooth unit for the Sena SMH10d? I can't find it anywhere and it's Sunday so the shops are closed. Thanks.
  18. Yes exactly that. The client stipulated 1.5m stumps.
  19. What you can't see from any of the photos is just how exposed the work position was. The trees were half out the ground on the top edge of an extremely steep sandy bank and they were leaning severely. We set Jon's rope through the top of a skinny Robinia as a redirect and then anchored to a Sycamore behind that, way back from the slope. The drop zone was a very rotten deck that was on 10ft tall stilts! It was a crane job really but that would have meant a road closure and taking down 6 phone lines.
  20. I thought a Defenders natural habitat was outside a private school with Twisted upgrades all over it! Lol!
  21. Ask Jon. I'm in the ground loving it! Hahaha!
  22. Jon Barnes nailing it like an SRT Ninja on a serious bum twitching job.
  23. I hired one a couple of years ago and eventually got so fed up, I pulled my pedestrian grinder off the truck to find the job quicker (albeit with more effort). As a comparison, it dealt with a big Ash stump in about 2.5hrs and the Carlton 7015 did the next same size stump in about 30 minutes!
