  1. Oi, aren't you meant to be on holiday, devoting all your time to your wife, not messaging with a load of tossers on here!! 😘
  2. On my Clip 'n Step boots the 'stirrup' wraps around the widest part of my foot. Is it the same on yours? Mine have always been this way but it's a different position to where the Floop sits on my chainsaw boots, so it feels odd. Not a complaint I just wondered if my boots are odd or normal.
  3. I know where there is tons of Oak. You just need to take it, like you said you would.
  4. That's a dreadful waste of a Sunday morning. That time is in our calendars to be used as productive hangover recovery. Whilst lying on the sofa wishing you were dead it takes 2 minutes to order a BigShot online.
  5. I meant compact not company.
  6. The Bandit 90 is a great machine but too heavy to tow behind a 3.5t truck.
  7. I've pm'd you so here are the photos. There's one Ash log with a cavity in the centre. One Oak log that's dead and solid. One Oak log that's a bit squify. If you're interested call Al on 07834 414371
  8. I'm on the HH1. Never used the HH2 but by all accounts it's the same but smaller. I would describe the BDB and Akimbo as company mechanical SRT devices, if that's what you're after.
  9. Yes it's a tight fit in the bone. What rope are you climbing on?
  10. No I just throw it in the bin and buy another. I'm too posh to waste time untying throwline!
  11. Dead easy on SRT. Blast your throw line over the top of everything, pull your rope through and base tie. Get to the top and top tie. Strip the Ivy on the way down. Cup of tea. Leave site 25% sooner than if you'd been working with a DRT system and email the invoice.
  12. The advice is to buy an Echo.
  13. I reckon there is only one decent pickup truck any where in the world. Toyota Land Cruiser, like the ones that The Overlander brings in. I don't know what they are called but I do know that when I worked in Namibia no one would drive the brand new Land Rovers or Mitsubishi. Everyone clambered over the old Toyotas that had done 200k miles. Honestly, those things go on for ever and when they do need a repair, only a hammer and screwdriver is needed!
  14. :lol::lol::lol:
  15. There are only four ways of getting in a tree. 1: Big Shot 2. MEWP 3. Drone to carry the throw line through the canopy. 4. Fell the fuc**r.
  16. I've got a 37m for the small trees and a 60m for the taller trees. I wish I'd bought 75m because I prefer to base anchor most of the time. Edit: You won't regret getting a HH2. Brilliant device.
  17. Actually he wants it to carry all the beer in!
  18. Yep, this is actually much easier than messing around setting up an MA. If the swing back in is scary I drop the tail of my rope then ask the groundie to hold it and control my swing in. Simple, safe, smooth, speedy.
  19. I generally do what Rich said. I usually base anchor and run my rope over a few natural crotches to spread the load but it really depends on the tree. I think I use four different methods of anchoring and about 7 different re-direct methods.
  20. Even someone as old as you doesn't need to be licensed to drive an Avant! 😂😂😘
  21. Wuss. They say that breakfast is the most important meal. From this one could consider that if you've had a good breakfast (stomach liner) then it's safe to crack on. I'm not saying I live my life like this, you understand.
