  1. I'm still looking for a climber so maybe the New Year will bring a new person to the team.......
  2. Solent Body Builders will do the job at least as good for a better price. They can do the sign writing too and they'll also pick you up from the train station.
  3. Is there a function that you set so that it is 'press a button' to talk?
  4. I may be wrong but I think the Sena can be set to operate by 'push to talk' or 'talk to talk'. If so, what setting do you have them on and if 'push to talk', do you find it a nuisance to push the button to talk every time? Thanks.
  5. So what is the latest? It would be interesting to know if you've been using your foot loop a lot and wether you've got the Stein or the Floop. Do they stay in place whilst climbing and are they wearing prematurely? Thanks.
  6. It doesn't really matter how much it costs because of what it will do for you in terms of making work easier on your body. Furthermore, all these SRT friction devices are roughly the same price when you factor in additional biners, hitch cord, tether etc.
  7. Thanks for replying but I've found that all throw lines tangle because they hate me. I hoped you might know of some form of genius or magic spell to avert such frustration!
  8. What do you find to be the best way to put the line into cube to avoid tangles?
  9. I thought there was a climber in the trees but now I see he's in the ground stripping off the low branches. I'll get back under the stairs.
  10. I don't get it. I'd have felled those with a rope on the chipper. Much easier and safer.
  11. Is that the van you'll be sending to collect my Oak trunks from the Horley Development site Bob? Hahaha!
  12. If I climb with it running it stalls after a while and is a bitch to start. Presumably because it's warm or hot or morning or raining or afternoon or windy.
  13. Mine starts with difficulty no matter what the situation. Actually, it restarts perfectly if it's within 2 seconds of switching off! Lol!
  14. Add to that: Doesn't start easily if it's cold, warm or hot or if the weather changes or in the morning or in the afternoon!
  15. That's it Stephen, too many variables so it depends how the OP's business is structured and how he accomplishes his work.
  16. I am not going to read the whole thread or offer advice because I no longer own a Unimog but will say one thing in response to the OP. If you don't need to carry three people, get a tractor. Edit: even if you do need to carry three people, consider a tractor and pick-up. A cheaper and more versatile solution in every way.
  17. Oi, not allowed to advertise on here. Every time I do it it gets moved before I blink! Merry Christmas Graham. Cheers Al
  18. You think that's big, you should see the Ash that's going over next! Hands would be whacked with the dead Oak but Aspenarb's mulcher will deal with it next month, luckily!
  19. Big dead crasher today. One of many on the Horley NW development in preparation for thousands of houses.
  20. Aspenarb will be taking it, if he ever calls me back. Lol! But he may not do do you want it? There are 8 trees like that one with loads of Ash too.
  21. At a glance at the rings 270yrs old.
  22. First of many for a development company. For any boffins, the saw is a 395xp with 36" bar.
  23. Arbaid.
  24. Mine did the same and with vibration on idle the oil travelled backwards and came out under the plastic cover.
