  1. Air Drying Logs I've bought the Dyson Airblade but I still need to wipe them on my trousers
  2. Your lettering is spot on, by hand or machine? Wife and I visited Sicily recently and walked into a bar, not noticing till sitting down and looking at the menu (which folded out into a C & B shape) that everything in the bar was somehow phallic. I cant find the picture on my phone that I thought I had of the carved table lamp on our table was a finely worked C&B. Perhaps start a parallel website, only a suggestion but Stick to P...ck
  3. The smoke from burning fur is quite unpleasant, and the idea of mentioning fur in an advert is unhelpful, rabbits have it and it has to be removed before you can freeze them. Why not call it spruce  after all Aldi seem to think that they can call their Salmon "wild" , which it probably is if you poke it with a stick, but it was still born raised and killed in captivity
  4. Now that is a handy looking book Bob, got a lot of pages:lol:
  5. So if your subbie can turn up with a load of qualifications , a saw or two, and a bag full of ropes, why cant he invoice for professional services like your accountant who turns up with a pad and a pencil?
  6. That would be a completely erratic shambles with my mitts, although I have improved. I need to ask you about seals in the rotator sometime soon. Still a mystery with the OP's coupling, unless it is one of those breakaway couplings you could yank out without retracting the ring, they wouldnt give under pressure, but if there was enough pulse in the hose when a particular spool was operated then you could see it might flick out. We dont know the model of tractor so hard to guess
  7. If there is too much flow, you can just knock the revs back. If it is still doing it, then that would suggest over pressure. I have never had a quick release coupling separate, despite operating at full relief pressure (in many instances), although I would see it as a long shot, I would be tempted to try another coupling manufacturer, also possibly the cheapest next step.
  8. I would put put myself down as a grin and bear it candidate, but when I gave myself a bad bout of tennis elbow from pulling out old fences and carrying a saw all day, I gave in and had the injection. When I went back for the checkup the right elbow was fine as I had really made an effort not to do bad things to it, but my left shoulder was crippled from ...... pulling out fences and carrying a saw all day. I got the doc to wack a load of the magic in it, and got a contractor in to finish the fence. Both fine now.
  9. Was this a design defect or was the handbrake damaged?
  10. no one has come up with a contrary point of view in 38 minutes, so you have conclusively hit the nail on the head. What about when the passenger gets out to open the gate and slams the door
  11. You can use a froe to cut the rings into slices, then chip them down with an ambill If you need to up production, there are some brilliant machines about, just put the wood in and watch in awe!
  12. The most important bit of info is the wheel centres on the mog, with that info you should be able to buy a plough that would fit. + 1 for the pics
  13. I have seen Mogs plowing, and I entirely sympathise with your wish to do it, as long as you take the body off so you can see the soil turning. but... somewhere in my hazy memory is something about the front furrow width, a small plough (3f) may not go out wide enough, and a bigger plough with 4f may fit, and will get nearer to the hedge if you are ploughing in.

    Pick ups

I bought a Dmax a couple of years ago, the most basic version, which I though was really well priced. I needed to have the 3.5 tonne towing for carting sheep. We used a disco3 before which is the heaviest vehicle for the job and I have to admit being pleasantly surprised at how the pickup deals with the weight, not just in getting up hills but shunting around gateways and the yard. Personally no issues with DPF either, and sympathies to those who have had issues, but luckily it seems to confine itself to a few vehicles. (famous last words)
  15. Could you not blow it out of the exhaust with an airline in the sparkplug hole, or better get the vacuum cleaner at the exhaust to make sure it travels the right way and not into the crank case
  16. Just a little caution required with a solenoid coil, if they are powered up without the iron lump inside that does the actuating, they can consume too much power and burn out. Use a circuit tester instead, if it is disassembled.
  17. If its for stock fencing, then I wouldnt worry, the odd persistent biter might make an impression on one or two posts, which could put something on (a dab of creosote or cribbox you can get from the equine shop) Chestnut rails are more of a problem because they can get a bite on them and tear a bit off, they are more palatable when freshly split but you can paint a bit of jollop on.
  18. come on please, that was really shellfish
  19. After a bit of brain wracking, I think this may be codling moth. There will be plenty of results on Google for both organic and chemical remedies. Not my field at all, but I think that lacewing may predate the eggs or caterpillar, I have seen lemonade bottles hanging from fruit trees, the bottom is cut off and a rolled bit of corrugated cardboard inserted in the bottle. This provides the habitat for the lacewing to lay its eggs /pupate or whatever it does. Once again, hoping someone with some real knowledge will bail me out.
  20. Im sure someone with some real knowledge will be along soon, but for what its worth, (very little) here's mine. So if they are eaters, then just pick one you fancy, take a bite out of the good side, if you see no maggot holes then enjoy, otherwise spit it out and go for the other side. Cookers:- plenty of opportunity to peel , inspect, reject etc in the kitchen whilst preparing the apple crumble. Alternatively:- make cider.
  21. The tricky bit is getting an electric cable or pair of pipes up the boom, you will probably have to buy the pukka parts and possibly take the boom out
  22. If you need to get it undone to get home, then tie a loop in the end of a piece of rope (chain is better) then wrap four turns round with the old bar or something longer through the loop, someone else holding the trailing end. Sort of reverse capstan. good luck
  23. A farm I once worked on bought one. We discovered it could shoot a knob of grease 30 metres on full pressure, and popped out countless seals as said above, on the plus side it fitted on the 50 kg tub of grease so you could get round the bigger gear without having to fill up. Fitted a pressure regulator to the air outlet, which was better
