  3. A half inch socket is slightly smaller than 13mm, if you can get it started on the bolt then hammer it on, I have in the past managed to get the socket to cut a new hexagon by grinding the socket so it was sharp on the leading edge. Mind your eyes whilst belting sockets!!
  4. The flavour of petrol spoils the palate for beef or pork, only use good vodka if lighting with cooking in mind. The exception is a dried out cheese sandwich, which quite frankly improved no end by a dunking in two stroke mix and a quick flambee:biggrin:

Hi Steve, although my laptop is fine, on my v old pc, all the titles have dissapeared, no labels in the buttons and the thread titles are only visible if I read the thread, when I look at the "todays threads" the read ones appear, those I have not read just a blank space, ? Its and XP service pack 3, and Chrome any pointers?
  10. on the other hand........ ~I had a power steering return pipe with a split and needed to get it sorted quickly, so I crammed epoxy in the split to bung it up, then cleaned it off carefully and put another layer over the whole job and it lasted for years, some of this glue is amazing, most of the time Im with the " get it welded" school, you never know till you try

  16. Not speaking as any sort of expert, but I think that there are two types of motor, reversing ones can stand the pressure both ways, others that cant, and if your seals are popping out the perhaps the return back pressure is causing issues? Who knows?

  18. Having had a side of Salmon cooked on a barbeque, but on a cedar plank that had been soaked (in water for 24 hrs), it was delicious, I would give it a go. But overnight would be too long, the oak would be burned up and the crackling charred beyond all recognition. Just a guess, but go for it and let us all know how you get on.
