  2. theres a nice looking 2010 qn arbtrader, not sure where yet
  3. bought chipper off them last jan, found them very good. chipper was if anything better than described and had been well checked over. flew over and back same day and chipper was delivered a week later. would buy of them again
  4. fair point. my fellas were breaking them on 260,s .stopped happening when they bought their own saws
  5. not having a dig or anything but i find younger and recently trained lads very severe on brake bands and clutches from hitting the chain brake every other minute with the chain still at full speed

  7. have an 05 lwb 130hp .had it 3 years, 1st year loads of probs, cost e3k in repairs. been fine since and good on fuel. parts very expensive,think will go transit next time

  10. i find mine tightens while working and can be hard to loosen. a while back it started drifting a bit while chipping into truck no matter how much i would tighten it. cured it by welding a series of dots on the flange. never moves now and not hard to open
  11. i have a 681, 80cc professional. very well built similar to stihl really. i would say their semi pro saws would be as good any of the big names equivilent
  12. tractor/loader for me.does every thing you mention + pulls track chipper or mini digger. is 40k.groundy will usually follow me to job in tractor and arrive maybe half hour after by which time i.ll have signs up and paperwork ready. i live in a hilly area and find i am saving a lot of wear and tear on my tranny and hilux by using tractor for the heavier towing, great to have winch and loader on site, saves loads of time. also tractor can get into tighter spaces and more versatile for farm work and hence more saleable when you want to upgrade. having said all that would love to own a mog.

  16. have alot of trees (mostly small) to drag back from streams in areas where machines cant reach. do i need any special ticket to operate a chainsaw winch ? large utility job, need method statement for everything
  17. phone message ; i need you to come and cut half a tree for my neighbour who,s husband was stabbed on a ship
  18. dont forget, alot more tiring on body than tree work, seme few muscles doing repeditive work all day

    i was in shannon airport with wife and her family waiting to board flight to boston for her brothers wedding. sitting in departure lounge heard rumour about plane been hi-jacked. next thing tv shows plane hitting tower,a little later second one. horrible time,lots of americans crying and most people just stunned. wifes family never made it to wedding

  21. it says 9 to 6 each day on website. does anyone remember the saturdays of the last couple of years?
  22. was wondering is it worth going for just saturday ? i once went on a saturday( about 2002 i think,in scotland, and a lot of the stands were packing to leave from lunchtime on. was planning to go on friday and saturday myself but cant go on friday now and wondering if its worth the journey . sorry if derail

  24. :thumbup1 good point. sitting waiting for rain to stop is just a recipe for doom and gloom. better to get stuck in first thing and finish earlier on wet days. a change of clothes at midday helps a lot, and a change before driving home is a must.
