  1. don't forget the vat you pay on stuff you buy privately plus the fuel tax plus council tax stamp duty - if it applies car tax insurance tax flying tax anyone got a calculator
  2. I love the idea of work coming in on a daily basis No pressures provided you can be cool about that:001_smile:
  3. Is Pieris your name or do you just like the plant Just interested:001_rolleyes:
  4. No wonder shrapnel kills people
  5. Yup- its total b******t Best apply for woodchip and processing exemptions though It's free- well it is at the moment
  6. Another plan would be to go round a number of local tree surgeons yards and badger (nicely) for Saturday work - just dragging brash. Your number will then get on phones and when you get your tickets they will already know you. Probably won't get much ££ for the work though.
  7. I've often wondered about the legality of this system OK You may not hear for 6 weeks but What if the letter was lost in the post or not sent for whatever reason. If you do the work - how can you prove you never received a letter.?? You could prove you did receive a letter- this would be a better way!!
  8. Do you still overload- be honest:001_smile:
  9. Can't believe were discussing something like this on a public forum really If you are overloaded and have an accident then what!!!! Get legal Stop being *****
  10. your annual is our quarter even with a log burner so be cool
  11. I suppose it makes sense really If you were a neighbour to a smallholding that had previously given you no cause for complaint- then they started doing logs The noise alone would be too much without all the extra vehicle movements I ran a business from home for ages though I wouldn't be happy now living next to me then - if you get what i mean.
  12. We had a husky seize up on us Husky said we were using too much oil in the mix You can't win
  13. THAT is the problem I can't always stay calm either
  14. apollo never landed on the moon Oil is carbon based magma is not
  15. specially in front of that fire
  16. Todays News Brent crude down to $105 per barrel Where do they keep all the barrels?
  17. Cheap carbon based fuel seems under current thinking to be the worst thing that can happen to this planet. Higher fuel prices will lead the world into a new era of energy production from renewables Of course this may be wrong but we have to believe the scientists. Let's hope we solve this one like all the other big problems in the past otherwise we're gonnas Meanwhile all you firewood boys out there must be rubbing your hands with glee
  18. so we're paying less tax on fuel as a percentage now then Surely thats good news
  19. Think yourselves lucky we are taxed at a high level in this country If we hadn't been, fuel would have gone up not double but much more, in percentage terms. And tax would still have to be paid for keeping our armed services etc etc which would have come from somewhere else and we'd all be complaining about that. High fuel prices give us an incentive to buy more efficient vehicles and also give the car companies a kick up the jacksie to make them All in all a good thing. By the way Cabstars only give about 24 mpg which needs sorting quick:thumbdown:
