She's a clever lass. It's a windy day and if she got out at the same time all the crisp packets/receipts/papers from the cab would be strewn across the field! Wish my other half could learn this!

2nd battery would be an optional extra (or easy to fit yourself!). Think they came as standard on mk7 rear wheel drive

Start small, think of it as a campfire. Keep all the sticks running the same way It's perfectly possible to fell any tree and burn it the same day, even in the rain, but that's a bit harder! You'll need some dry wood, you might be able to find dead branches off the ground that are dry. A wee bit of coal can help too Petrol is no use Red diesel/used oil, old tyres can be useful! Conifer is usually easy. I've lit fires before using only a lighter and twigs off the ground - no brought in materials! Cannae beat a fire

I got a set of the Oregon black braces, a few months ago, and stuffed them away in a cupboard until I broke out the new trousers. They were nice and comfy, but went to use them today for the first time and one side snapped within 2 hours :thumbdown:

Thanks, I will probably buy more 10w40 semi synthetic, think it was only about a tenner per 5l can at the motor factors

Just wondering, Honda always recommend using 10w30 oil but it's pretty hard to track down! In the past I have used 10w40, 5w30, straight 30, etc. What is the most suitable oil? The various engines are usually used in temps from just below zero to 20degrees C

Up here with the hydro board they would cost 18.5p an hour!

Depends how big the area is, how high the ceiling is etc. You could fit a number of batten lamp holders or pendants, fit them with CFL or LED bulbs, and you will get a nice even light over the entire workshop. Then you can have more intense lighting over the workbench. A halogen lamp by the workbench isn't actually a bad thing in winter as you can get the heat off it!! You can get LED floodlights off ebay for next to nothing now (2 for a tenner!). Just be careful, on most of them the earth isn't connected, the wattage is overstated, and I would be dubious about how waterproof they are

Ah so it will still collect ok with the mulching blade on? I like to be able to switch between mulch/collect as the conditions suit

I take it with the kaaz mowers the only way to mulch is by taking it into the workshop and fitting the mulch kit, you can't switch between mulching and collecting?
