  1. Cheers, just the ticket
  2. Well after a long roadtrip got a rotary Condor, very impressed by it, good bit of kit. Could do with new belts, anyone got a link or part number for the single belt that goes from the engine to the first pulley? It's too worn to make out any text.
  3. Get the carvings made by a kid in china then who can use a computer, will be cheaper
  4. Is yours the rotary deck? By any chance have you any photos of lawns cut with the condor? I take it the cuttings are dumped behind in a line?
  5. Hi folks, I'm looking at buying a slightly larger walk behind mower, the Hayter Condor 30" twin rotary looks like just the machine? Really for cutting rough areas of long grass but sometimes something that more resembles a lawn, can it do both fairly well, or is there any other similar machines? Anything to look out for on a used condor, obviously the Honda GX engine will go on forever, but how does the rest of mower hold up, ie the transmission? Are they all hydrostatic drive or is that just the newer ones? Also if you know of one for sale.......not afraid to travel!! Cheers
  6. Narrow access log splitting
  7. I have a spare nearly new 15" Husqvarna bar and chain if any use?
  8. Are you putting a shorter bar on it? Oregon chain is good, rotatech not bad either.
  9. Have a look at tayna batteries, you can search by dimensions, useful for odd bits of plant https://www.tayna.co.uk/tools/battery-wizard
  10. A friend was showing me his "oil safe" container complete with pump and hose, ideal for filling up small engines with oil. Nearly fell over when I looked it up and saw the price, over £100!
  11. I have a set of crampons that I use on steep banks, mainly for strimming (in the rain!) but it sounds too bad for that. Funnily enough I slipped on a wet bank a few days ago, carrying the saw on tickover in my left hand, wearing a t shirt. As I fell the fell the saw came past and cut my left arm in numerous places!
  12. I think you're out on the time, (assuming it's just a yearly trim), would've thought 1 guy with steps/a ladder, and home for lunch on the 2nd day at the latest? Might even do it in 1 long day?
  13. https://www.gumtree.com/p/plant-tractors/1974-james-jones-highland-bear-tractor-/1247170096 I probably drove that at some point, though I can't remember! :thumbup1:
  14. The first one is photos nicked from plant trader 2017 AVANT 528 New Diesel Loaders in ABINGDON | Auto Trader Plant
  15. Mainly knotty spruce, it's rare for me to remember to take a camera!
  16. Splitting firewood on the hottest day of the year (so far!!)
  17. "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing."
  18. A friend was telling me he had some Romanian tree planters staying in his self catering recently, they were each making about £120 a day! (and working 6 or 7 days per week aswell of course)
  19. Bulldog plastic/wooden rake, £10 from toolstation
  20. The KTM hydraulic splitters aren't bad, but the diesel one they sell looks like the standard made in china contraption
  21. Just to bump an old thread, saw this video on youtube, Land Rover towing a large Ifor: [ame] [/ame]
  22. I know, for the first time in about 8 months the area round my house and sheds is no longer a mudbath!
  23. You can change the ford lock barrel to a more secure one, £100 odd, fairly easy to fit. Also look at securing the OBD port in some way.......
  24. Cracking machine for it's size the wee CS100, I've been using mine a fair bit the last few weeks
  25. Don't know about tyres as old as that but "modern" tyres have the year of production hidden in a code printed on the side.
