  1. Kelly's heroes, cant beat it. But I also like watching old Clint Eastwood/John Wayne westerns.
  2. If there's no noticeable difference between Aspen and husqvarna fuel, does the same apply to the stihl version. I'm wanting to switch to Aspen, but would be just as happy to use both the stihl and husqvarna varieties if they are all basically the same.
  3. I like that. That is my next project to try. I've already done a couple of owls hiding in a log, but now want to try a proper one. I watch loads on YouTube videos to help me.
  4. When I bought my makita 9010, it came with a solid bar, totally hated it, swapped it for a sprocket nose bar and it runs miles better.
  5. Wouldn't it of been easier to make tank dipping part of the mot. Any trace of red, the vehicle is scrapped and a hefty fine for the owner. Also I agree with whoever said, completely scrap red diesel and claim backs on white, and just have a level playing field for everyone.
  6. Up at Earby (lancs) today, nice crisp frost this morning and nice winter sun at the moment.
  7. Tbh, I really like metabo gear, have a lot of battery stuff for site work and have a metabo bench saw and planer thicknesser. It's just the fence on the bench saw that's not too brilliant.
  8. Wish my table saw was accurate, I dare only do basic straight cuts on mine. But then again I've only got a basic metabo site saw.
  9. Was up your way yesterday saul, me and the wife had a good ramble on the moors above holmfirth. It was cold and blustery but nice and crisp walking in the snow.
  10. If you decide on electric, I can fully recommend the stihl ones, I've had mine a good 10 years and its still going strong doing all the usual stuff, my father also bought one 2 years ago, after having various others, and he rates it highly as well. As a side note, it's the only stihl machine I own, as normally I wont touch their stuff.
  11. I like those, wouldn't have a clue how to do a relief carving.
  12. More or less continuess rain showers all day in doncaster.
  13. Really like that, simple, effective and clean. Job well done. Do you do your designs on cadd or just draw them.
  14. I now prefer the multi tool and / or swiss army style knives. I have a nice Gerber multitool and a raptor one for work. Keep looking at swiss army knives, mainly for the tweezers. Quite fancy a small opinal though.
  15. Just had torrential rain with thunder and lightning about an hour ago, here in Barnsley.
  16. I too think that hs2 should be abandoned. But I do think that some money should be invested in the current rail system. I also think that that prices should be simplified and reduced significantly.
  17. For me, if someone trespasses and then hurts themselves, they deserve it, and should be liable to prosecution for any damage they have caused.
  18. I also have the Clarke one from machine mart, paid about £50 for mine a couple of years ago. Cant fault it, it sharpens all my chains of different sizes. Yes you have to set it up for each one, but it only takes a minute or so. I highly recommend them.
  19. Gusty winds and rain showers with a bit of sunshine thrown into mix here in south Yorkshire. Have family members who live in earby, Lancashire, and they have suffered heavy flooding.
  20. I've just got 2 cheapie ones sat in garage doing nothing but gathering dust. I keep looking at them , thinking if there was a market for making them.
  21. Can I just ask, how come you don't see many of the old wooden Scarborough reels being used anymore. When I was into boat fishing 30 odd years ago, most fished with a large Scarborough reel for ease and quickness in winding up, but they seem a rarity nowadays.
  22. Yes, same here, a chain mortiser is on my shopping list too. Probably the makita.
