  1. I'm thinking about getting one of these but would prefer one with a vee belt, if anyone knows of any stockists. I would also get a cheap McCulloch or whatever so that I could have it on a dedicated saw.
  2. That looks really good, could do with one of those myself.
  3. I'm going to try and move away from felting roofs, much prefer the insulated tin roofs or board as usual and put corrugated tin on top.
  4. As gary112 says, I can fully recommend the makita 4300 and shavey to buy from.
  5. Looks a nice little build though mark. I personally prefer nice little projects like that.
  6. I have just bought the trend air shield pro, £250 this weekend. Not used it yet, but already feel as though it's a wise investment.
  7. I've seen several, to me it's only a defender by name.
  8. I used to have a makita ea4300 and it was an absolute peach of a saw.
  9. Never had one, but always loved the look of the rascal / super carry pickups. Like many, wish they would bring them back, I bet they would be brilliant with an electric power plant. I think it was pat ferret who used to be on here, who had an old SJ 410 van in green. I loved the look of it, and determined to have one , one day.
  10. Brilliant table mark, really nice.
  11. What model did you get mark ?
  12. This is probably the most sensible option, due to the oddball size and saw. Cheers ratman.
  13. Hi guys, Thanks for the replies, to be honest I forgot about their website. But also I would prefer an Oregon bar if possible. It's just that I don't have a clue about what bar mount it is. I would like a 16 inch bar if possible. Cheers H.
  14. Hi, my dad has a cheapo Chinese saw (Parker PCS -5800) , it runs a .325 / .058 chain on a 20 inch bar. I'm wanting to put a new bar on it either 14 or 16 inch, but I have absolutely no idea what bar it takes, there is nothing in the owners manual. On the bar it is stamped with ZLB20-76-5812P, I can work out the 20-76-58, but can anyone guide me in the right direction for a replacement bar. Cheers Harvey.
  15. I have a metabo 6 inch orbital sander, a makita palm sander and a very old skill belt sander, they all have their uses for different applications. I'm on the lookout to replace the skill belt sander for something new, as it needs confining to the museum.
  16. Hi, yes I agree with hicap and lateron, tree should be fine. It's the usual way to kill ivy. I've done it many times , cut an approx 2ft section of the ivy out, treat the roots and the top section willdie off making it easier to strip out.
  17. Jack P Can you please tell us what training, qualifications, skills and experience you have ? Cheers
  18. I do like the look of that.[emoji7]
  19. I have a big 315mm dewalt one which I wouldn't be without, but I recently bought a small straight forward mitre saw which is erbauer. It has a nice 90mm deep cutting depth I think and about 120mm wide. Cost less than £100. It's nice and light to carry too. It's my go to saw for most things now. I've found evolution stuff not really well made and prone to breaking.
  20. If I remember correctly, didn't man merge with erf. Have you looked at a company called hino, I don't know owt about them, but I have heard the are good strong reliable trucks.
  21. Have a look at the makita / dolmar range, their 6100/6400 saws would really suit you. That said, the husqvarna rancher will probably be my next petrol chainsaw.
  22. I had similar with mine. My rear guttering went into a soak away 3 ft from house and always blocked. I put in a drainage channel in from my downpipes and all the way across my drive and fed the pipe work directly into the manhole. Not had a problem since.
  23. A bloke I used to work with on building sites bought a cheap terraced house for his daughter when she was at university, and let her rent the other bedrooms to her friends. That paid the mortgage so his daughter lived rent free, then he sold it for a profit when she left.
