  1. How do you find The bandit compared to the 252 considering the 252 grinds a lot deeper.... quite often i have to grind out or dig wheels out to get even deeper with the vermeer... also someone did comment that the bandit drank fuel but that could just be what the 38hp engines do?
  2. I use a short shaft long reach also. Good trimmer and always handy
  3. Hs80 was a good solid trimmer cout take some grief and built like a tank. I have a hs82 seems flimsy but less vibes. Should last with CARE. Handle looks like something out of a christmas cracker though when you look at springs underneath etc
  4. I have a lot less but a lot of oversize. Might look into reducing it and chipping it myself yet
  5. Is 100hp enough when fitted with a loader? Takes a bit off puff out the tractor does a heavy loader esp for road work
  6. I was told chain etc is fine when truck and chipper in view. I.e front garden etc if in rear garden and its not in view it needs a wheel clamp
  7. It doesnt matter how you pay for the vehicle. If its for business use and bought in the business name all is fine. You can do what you want to buy the vehicle, cash, personal loan, business loan, bacs, finance anything. Taking a bank loan out can come out of business account and be put against your tax. not post tax! they may deduct 10% of running costs for personal use
  8. The chipper is chained to the truck & the truck has an immobiliser with the chip in the key. Yes same here but they say both chipper and truck get pinched at same time so requires a wheel clamp
  9. Im same as you. 6 years no claims with them.... terms and conditions changed so not as good of a policy either. Trust are well over 2 grand...
  10. Come on Matty pics of the 6400! also is that a sanderson t2?
  11. It'll be fine reduced but better felled
  12. Yes all in Jest Eggs. Not had much rain up here at all.... a morning piddling down, an evening giving it what for and a little drizzle recently..... We need the rain. Reservoirs are very low round here too. Beck through my garden is nothing but a trickle
  13. Not sure but i’d hosepipe the bugger off at least! Get finger over end of nozzle for a bit of pressure lol Sod the ban
  14. I thought they were dropping the flat rate vat scheme?
  15. Not much help but the tw230 and the other tw run the tensioner on the inside
  16. Just looking at my renewal thats come through and as you say no new for old on items with arborisk.... Been with them 6 years or so..... No claims in my entire time as a tree surgeon either. Never offered to keep new for old either. I said so I have to pay out 500.00 excess for you to say my 5 year old saw is worth 100.00? they said well its for if all your saws go etc.... bit false economy to me. Quote wasnt cheaper with it not being ner for old either which you thought it may well be as its lesser cover! Also interesting bit is that even on site and trailer or chipper is locked onto truck. you MUST fit a wheel clamp at all times. what a ball ache... so not just putting a chain on it to the truck... other wise void claim. I already consider my insurance to be dear enough! Trust seems a lot better policy but dearer still! over the 2k mark for me with plant etc All this to earn a living ey? lol
  17. Could do with knowing myself as have a head i’d like to repair
  18. Right.... look at a new husq 365xp on f r jones site.... 560.00 odd inc 4 spare chains on a 20” bar.... brand new saw! there is a mod to make it into a full blown 372.... its the same cc etc 70 cc
  19. Rocking any stem.... bad news. School boy error. Hope he gets sorted and it doesnt go the other way for him! Also i quite often take the middle out of the hinge on larger tree’s dependant on job situation of course just to pull it over easier.
  20. Still got it Mick? Thiught it would have gone after the mutlione purchase
  21. What kind of rollers and design do they run Mick? cone shaped rollers and that the top roller comes up in an ark not straight up and down? How many springs on the top rollers?
  22. Id have loaded some of them back in the truck and took them back scrappers a month later! Bastards
  23. Jeez thats a mortgage! Need some decent turnover and big outfit to pay that a month..... Id strap myself up and buy somewhere over paying that pcm
  24. I bought a 50m 25 or 27mm polysteel rope ages ago for pulling trees over etc with the tractor. Decent rope just bulky but does job well
