  1. Same used to happen on old navara and now on my 60plate ranger.... its the stops for turning..... do they come with nylon on the balls when new and them nylon wears and eventually starts to make noise metal on metal? Cant see grease making much difference.....
  2. Do all of you bother with the bigger diameter stuff? Too labour intensive for my liking?
  3. You are correct Bob but thats what most folk do.... the difference with me is I have a toolbox made into the tipper bed. Thus the first 24-26” is tool box. This means that the load isnt way past the tipping ram so shouldnt struggle as much as you say. Old transit same design pissed it
  4. Was holding out due to H&S and not wanting anyone to do owt daft and hurt oneself tbh If you do so you do at your own risk! I found inspiration from you tube and then found out that they could be turned up. You see this bigger 22mm nut towards the bottom of the picture..... There's the blue knob and the black box.... then below to the right is the 22mm nut / cap...... This had security wire around it for warranty reasons so they know it hasn't been tampered with. Removed the security wire.... remove the nut which turned out to be a cap for adjuster screw.... Turned it in a quarter then half turn etc and kept trying... Ended up on a turn and a half in and seems ok. Ideally needs to be checked with a pressure gauge to make sure its ok and within limits of pipes and pack etc
  5. Not sure what to make of all these new saws
  6. Go on then .... a stihl ms500i ehats that all about then? Why similar models?
  7. Whats a 500i? Dolmar?
  8. Is it not just a brass bush or bearing in end of crank its knackered?
  9. The curse of the LR :0
  10. All sorted hopefully.... turned the pressure up on the pump :) will see how it goes tomorrow as when we were adjusting it part of the load was coming out! Lot happier than i was the other day anyhow :D
  11. Can i get a bigger and stronger tipper pump/ reservoir to replace it then? Its poor!
  12. Mines a scantolinni tipper aswell! was tipping on an incline but transit would have pissed it! 5 stage ram. Struggles with the last ram. today delivering chip on an inclined drive it struggled past ram 3!!! Cheers
  13. Does anyone know if you can change settings on a tipper pump? Oil levels are fine just struggles to tip a full load. Sounds like low oil etc but isnt. It has a decent 5 stage ram aswell! New truck to me and old one was fine. this is the pump : Many thanks Chris
  14. I unfortunately had to replace my vertex vent when one of the lads ran it over with the tracked chipper ordered a new one and its crap compared to the old.... much prefered the adjuster at the back of the head / helmet not the 2 crappy wheels one at either front side to keep it tight to your head! had the helmet a good while now though
  15. Easier on the 2.4 Bob eggs will be a 2.0 or 2.2 in a normal van so engine the other way = ball ache! i did mine a few years back on my transit tipper and just whipped front end off like you say
  16. Big Oak Stump from the other week. Had a digger in to help with the arisings and got 10t of soil in after to re structure the area like the client wanted. In the centre part there will be a nice wide grand staircase going in
  17. Ok many thanks for that. I hope to have a letter through the post soon.... Will the chassis be changed even if not showing any current cracks etc? As would still have the potential to as you have flagged the issue up? I can just see the dealer trying to fob us off on this issue
  18. Shouldnt they all be re called? Not just IF requires a recall? what happens a couple of years down the line when they crack out of warrenty?
  19. Still haven't had chance to drop the saw back in to dealers yet.... Was going to ring them today to oin them but bank hol lol will ring them tomorrow... Call me backwards but i'll be on the look out for some older very clean 2012-2013 saw etc..... my older 2012 saw is spot on! hate this new saw piece of crap
  20. Ohh i like that cut then split larger rings with wedge and hammer! Saves all the sawdust noodles! good video cheers
  21. Usually 10% on ebay and 4% paypal of the whole total....
  22. Hope that fixes it.... they can do it under warrenty as far as im concerned aswell!
  23. Mines the same been and had a new plug in but sick of it. Prefer my older non m tronic saw bever had any issues other than fuel tank breathers leaking!
  24. You would but it still depends on ground conditions. Ive just dragged my fully loaded 16’ grain trailer full of beech through a few fields today! Shame job couldn’t have waited for nicer weather for ground to dry up a bit! Few ruts left lol
  25. Never heard anything about porus liners on them personally
