  1. Just get a piece of flexy exhaust pipe to take fumes away and over the roof! Dont want all them fumes under roof and coming at you fella

  12. We start at yard 7:30 every day I’ve had to be all over for 7:00 am when subbing. Sometimes a good 40-50 mile away so get up early and get on also does that read your booked in tomorrow for them, all areanged and now wondering if you can be bothered to go?

  14. Hi there, I'm wanting some advice on what is there to consider? What is there to look out for? Anything to consider when looking to take on a full time employee? Is there any way to safe guard your business? Probation period to see if candidate is suitable? What needs to be in an employment contract? Pensions etc.... A few people have said its cheaper and easier having full time staff... ? Am I Mad? lol All info greatly appreciated Cheers
  15. You do a very good job there! Where are you based? I’ve considered changing the hopper on mine from a sloped to a folding hopper. Lads hate and winge about the sloping one bit its fine for me ?

  17. Whats the difference in spec between a 222 and a 252? love my old 252! Ground loads of stumps with it and some huge ones at that! Very capable

  19. Call it criminal but i’ve had and got lots of oversized arb ash and beech that gets sent off for biomass. Too busy contracting to do logs and it wouldnt pay to get someone to do it! silly situation realy but it is what it is

  22. That is true yes but you can definitely tell when they are ahort or dry as the go clackety... grease is cheap. they dont make the decent heads anymore either
  23. So do you aim your services at start up companies? Its like you assume you would be the most competent on site from that. Back to my earlier statement. People wont want you with all your kit just someone with work ethic, common sence and some experiance. Dont forget most decent firms will have all your kit and more.... thats why i presume you go for start up companies and take all your gear to justify your rate. to a well established firm they wont be botheres about your gear in the slightest. And certainly wouldnt pay you that rate esp when they have their own stuff and most likely other staff
