  1. And just to say its only like 180-300 a year hahaha
  2. It will be to go behind a renault master tipper and a ford ranger. Wont carry masses of weight maybe 2 ton but require more stable trailer with a little more room.
  3. Looked online and gd105 is 2.20m wide so 2.30m not too bad i dont think for the extra capabilities it will give me.
  4. Just wondering if anyone runs an ifor GX106? If so how do you find it? and how do they hold together as seem to be peppered with rivets! Im looking to change my gd105. Main uses are to carry machinery grinder and chipper. Im wanting to go for the 6' wide one so i can get both tracky and grinder on side by side.... Also use it for removal of logs on some jobs where necessary... I just find the gd trailer a bit soft and do not like the 13" tyres on them. I think the 12" wheels and tyres on the gx will be a lot better for the job/ carry weight better. I think the gx models are twin leaf spring also whereas the gd are only a single. Anyhow just wondering if anyone has one as going to local dealer tomorrow to look at / buy one. Cheers Chris
  5. My local dealer who I expect you will use also? Still says theyre shite... though they never have anything positive to say nowadays... just say to buy battery.... i had a 261 few years back and was a good saw.... need a replacement soon for a 550..... ive considered being as daft as buying a husq 365 to avoid mtronic at all costs. 550 and stihl ms201t are the saws thats peeing me off loved the older 026
  6. This is a 2013 model
  7. I get chunks that get stuck between the rollers and anvil on the 230 that you have to reverse rollers.... then you spot the chunk, then forwards again and it goes through.
  8. Works for me Stubby.... you showing your age
  9. Still just trying to work out where a digger could help me.....
  10. Volvo ec15c diggers any good? Cheers
  11. This is true.... i’ve looked at swapping my trailer but then for a trade in value you may aswell keep and just purchase a new one anyway.... its always there. Once paid for its done. Cheap maintenance etc in my case it would be keep the plant trailer and buy a flat bed or tipping trailer
  12. A tipping trailer may be 4k but in 10 years if clean still get 2 k for it lol
  13. Some models could well be worth it in fairness. Once of a day you’d buy a saw with either badge on and you knew what you were getting.... nowadays m tronic and failures and cheap crappy plastic seems all thats produced
  14. In fairness saws are a disposable item nowadays. Only time you strip them down that far is if something major wrong with them. If so most likely just replace it. Work them hard and when they play up just get new. Cannt afford down time or messing about. Change saws every 2 years or so depending when they start playing up. That said its only been the newer saws that this happens with. Have some older stihls that are still spot on! Been looking recently to replace a saw but dont like mtronic etc so either buy second hand and clean or new and m tronic. Both options are not great
  15. Sell it and buy a new one. No down time or fannying about then still to have an old trailer. Depending what trailer you go for, theyre relatively cheap nowadays imo
  16. Some great pics there! Love the mb trac and small tractor and flail, looks a productive setup! That an old mf 390?
  17. You can set it on jensens so it doesnt take in so much and knock the revs down so far.... so takes a bit and kicks in and revs stay up....
  18. Can you alter roller speed and the no stress settinng Mick? Like the style of the rollers on them!
  19. Good stuff Big J, nice to see it in its working clothes
  20. 7700

    Stihl 462

Makes me wonder why they didnt keep an easy access air filter.... bit crap having to unbolt the top and lift off. I prefer the old saws quick un screw or turn clip qnd its off. Might end up with one anyhow as could do with a newer 70cc saw but not keen on mtronic (will have to get over that lol)
  22. Took loader off the 399 today to do some works to it. Bit of a mission as hasn’t been off in years. Feels a lot more nimble now and loads better view
  23. Its loads easier to get finance than a bank loan imo..... usually finance companies will just throw it at you if you want it..... banks are crap nowadays
