  1. no mate but I have milled all the yew,,,takes a while to dry to get to that finnish,,,
  2. me too its walnut,,the bark gives it away,,two diffrent shades,,,ash isnt like this ,I will photo two bits tomorrow to show difference,,but hey ,,,we both mill and both entitled to an opionion,,,,

  4. made these up today out of some offcuts of sequia/yew and oak,,,,

  8. job lot of western red cedar,from high wycombe way,,,lovely stuff,,smelt great milling it,,,
  9. built this today for a client,,with cedar purchased from nich channer last week,,

Im with tsb and have been for a very long time,,,my banking manager has gone awol,,,when finally getting through to anyone,,apparently all business under £150,000 is now being dealt with a call centre in birmingham! charming,,no letter, no phone call? if I dealt with my customers like that i`d have f..k all to bank,and they wouldnt be able to do 10am starts and early finnishes,,,ggggrrrrrrrr!

  15. some more bits,,,,some cedar picnic benches for a school made from there tree, and a tree house for a friends grandkids,,,oak frame,cedar for the rest,,,
  16. yes mate sequia for the top,and two legs, then two ash legs to match the white sap of sequia,,and a bit of yew underneath,,stool is elm with ash legs,,

  18. built this little table and chair set yesterday for my grandaughter yesterday(yipes Im only 42)made up of some sequia and yew,,with couple of ash legs to balance the colour,,,,
  19. we sell vented cubic meter bags, for £80 a bag, some people are over the moon with the logs,and say wow you get a lot,,and some go "is that all",,theres no pleasing some people,,,but we sell out,,,I bag up all our crap conifer,popular willow etc,,and sell it from the yard for £50 a bag in builders sacks,,,0.6,,,,,we have a regular supply of people who come hunting for bargins,,,we also sell sawmill off cuts in builders sacks,,as they dont cost £7 each,,,recycled from builder mates,,,
  20. too much hard work on pole lathe,,mate,,have turned it on power lathe,,i`d stick with ash and straight grained stuff on pole-lathe,,
